You think shows like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos etc were being viewed and heralded as the best TV shows ever by majority Black or white people? Was it only Black people that claim Goodfellas, The Godfather movies, and every other "white man breaking the law for the big pay day" action movie are classics?

Black Americans are just that...Americans. and they're no less immune to the glorification of the criminal lifestyle than anyone else who gets that shit blasted to them on all forms of media. It's just not only punished more harshly, this is a fact that has been proven through multiple studies, but because of the economic conditions some of us come from the option to engage is more readily available. You ask most criminals and gang bangers and most will tell you if they had better options they would've made better choices with their lives.

White people and the opioid epidemic literally has led to laws being changed. This is what I was talking about earlier about not being able to ignore how outside factors can influence things in these environments. Now you get caught with a bag of weed it's nothing. 10 years ago a bag of weed was a felony that could fuck your life up. But now with the push for decriminalization of drugs and more emphasis on rehab and treatment shit has changed. That doesn't happen if these white kids didn't start pill poppin. But these new laws now also affect that 19 year old Black kid who now a bag of weed won't turn into a felony on his record forever.

Where are all the white gangs at? Where are all these white artists getting murdered and locked up?

Bruh, my wife worked in Westminster,MD for 2 years and had her car broken into 4 times by drug addicts.

And the bank in her shopping center got robbed twice. The same shopping center where a daycare was at. They had to delay pick ups. Shit NEVER made the news.

She been living here in west Baltimore 15 years, car never broken into. Even when we visited places in the city. And I don't know if any banks in the hood getting robbed. They keep that plexiglass glass on deck though

You also have Abbot Elementary, All American, All American Homecoming, The Upshaws, Blackish just ended an 8 year run, Grownish is ending a 5 year run, Insecure literally would have media in a chokehold for days after each episode...there's plenty of Black content to take in that's got nothing to do with drugs, violence and crime.

I don't know about gangs, but then motherfuckers love to draw skulls and scary shit, then go in the woods and get high on some wild shit, listen to some crazy ass music, get tatted all the way up and carry on just as bad as we do. I've bounced at way too many white trash bars in white trash areas.

I thought it was smaller than that before I started getting around.... They everywhere bruh. It's nothing to be proud of, but they ain't shit either.

I’m not refuting it exists. I’m saying it’s not glorified in white culture.

In black culture it’s cool to be a drug dealer. It’s cool to be a street nigga. That’s not the case in white culture.

And for every power there's also been alot of Black sitcoms over the years that again focus nothing on violence. And they're not hard to find and that's with Black folks having to deal with the added fight of dispelling racist tropes.

I just said it in another post...white kids are strung out on dope and pills so bad right now it's changing laws. White folks don't got this rose colored existence of getting everything right like some believe.
