I don't really think that's true. I mean you're probably right that there are some. Some people don't like anything different in what they watch. I think most people dislike the execution of putting gay characters into things the like. Game of Thrones is a good example. In the books, there are a few characters that are gay and I've never heard anyone have a problem with them. However, in the show they added unnecessary gay sex scenes for no other reason than putting the gayness of the characters in everyone's face. That kinda thing is dumb. I don't think there is nearly as much objection when the inclusion is more organic. I could be wrong though.

Didnt they also show rape and incest on GOT on multiple occasions? But 2 gay characters having sex was dumb? And yeah there's people that consider anything gay in media as it being forced upon them. They're pretty loud about it too. Often not hard to find

No one said the scenes were dumb solely because they were gay sex scenes. They were dumb because they were literally just thrown in there to say "Hey, look, we have gay characters." You can't compare the incest and rape scenes because those were actually relevant to the plot. They were in the source material.
