U can explore all the islands and delay beating the game but once u beat it everything becomes unlocked

Yeah stayed up untill 4 a.m. to beat it. All I got left is 8 of 9 valkyries and trying to kill the last traveler at one of the realm gates. Oh and I need to do the last trial of the fire realm. Its defeatng 100 enemies smh.
 
I got one more Valkyrie to go. Ima get my rage meter set to full first before I go into that fight...drop all them them supers on her ass..rage mode... and if she kill me after that I got one of them Berserker resurrection stones. Rinse and repeat.. lol

How do yall like to build your characters? I think most of my stats are in strength, runic, and defense. I'll get a pic when I play later. Also, one of Atreus outfits has some type of ability to find occasional health packs when you're fighting that saved my ass in a boss fight yesterday. Save up for his superior outfits.

I've been doing so much side shit that I realized I'm still super early in the game. I have both kratos and the boy leveled up as high as the game allows me to level them lol. I need to practice on my combat a bit cuz I miss a ton of blocks and forget my combos all the damn time. But for now I've been just equipping the best defense > strength > runic items on kratos.

Using the first tunic that let's the boy heal you, but it's not very often that he does it, will try saving my items to get him the "superior" version of that tunic and hopefully get more heals.
 
Lol those ancients are so easy to kill sometimes too. I usually just hide behind a tree or a pillar and the dumbass will try walking through it and get stuck. So I'll just throw my axe through whatever gap I can and chip away at him. I always go in for the R3 quick kill but once that pops up other monsters spawn and prevent me from running up to it in time so I just keep hiding behind the tree/pillar. Tried fighting one straight up but I'm such a low level that the thing was fucking me up easily. HaRd to dodge those beams sometimes especially if there's a lot of trees or stuff blocking you In the area.
 
Trolls have bern my easiest enemy. They have to much of a history in god of war games with 1 eyed giants and medusa serpents
 
Make sure ya'll keep tall cool down boosted as much as possible. Helps the amount of time you can use special moves and the boy shooting arrows. Of course ya'll knew that lol
 
Yo put as much as you can into rune and vitality. Rune helps u spam yo special attacks and vitality helps u survive
 
This last fuckin Valkyrie is tough... my plan aint go nothing how I expected and this heffa fucked me up out the gate lmfao

My Rune is eh so far still early so only about 43. I hope I can find some items for cool down though that shit is atrocious lol.
 
@Cain I know what tear you was talkin bout. Sounds like the one around the Lake of The 9 at Nifleheim Tower. I spent a minute there too. I'm level 3, atm, but them muthafuckas was giving me the business.

It was good for me though. I used the time there to put my combat skills to use by putting it all together. You unlock so much shit that you oftentimes forget to use half the shit.

I tried Muspelheim for a second, and that's another great, incentivized way to train.

I love using the light runic attack, Frost of the Ancient One (frost blast), and the upgraded heavy attack, Ivaldi's Anvil.
 
I don't know how to use the soul runes. I just be playing the game man. I barely know how to use the runes and like @Inori said the writing is so damn small you can't read the damn writing lol
