Two things can be right at the same time:

Drake ainā€™t had a good album in years and is consistently trying to appeal with the masses & show no growth (with success like it or not).

Joe Budden is right about Drake, but is a hatin ass dude whoā€™s only relevance is a Podcast since his music career washed out years ago.

He could if he doesn't go in the paint, can't take a charge, flip flops at the slightest bump and takes terrible shots... which is exactly what Drake did here. He might win another ring with this album, but he went 3/23 with 4 rebounds and got fouled out. T Mac can always give Robert Horry tips on footwork.

Anybody that say Joe canā€™t spit is crazy. He ainā€™t have that commercial success, but that nigga could rap his ass off. Joe used to kill in that Triangle Offense with him, Fabolous, and Paul Cain.

If it wasnā€™t for the label bullshit, drugs, and mental health, that nigga would have had a hall of fame careerā€¦ just like if T-Mac ainā€™t get hurt he would have had some rings too.

Trashing Budden for his analogy is like saying guys like Chris Sims and Dan Orloski shouldnā€™t be analysts cause they didnā€™t succeed as much as other QBs in the leagueā€¦.which, is bullshit. They made to the league, which means they were good enough to compete at that level.

Or like saying Kenny ā€œthe Jetā€ Smith shouldnā€™t be up there with Shaq and Chuck on TNT cause theyā€™re HOFamers and he ainā€™t, which again, is bullshit. He got a ring (2, actually), he was an All-Star, Kenny knows what it takes to see success in that field.

Same with Joe. He was signed to major, and had a single go gold, so heā€™s obviously talented enough to be in this space. Just cause Aubrey is more accomplished in the field then Joe, doesnā€™t mean two things:

1) Joeā€™s opinion is deemed invalid because Joe spoke unfavorably of him. Not even him, just his work.

2) Aubrey is better than Joe, skillset wise. We saw that story play itself out when they went on wax against each other many moons ago.

Aubreyā€™s pissy in his pussy cause they said this album - like most of his albums as a whole - is MID as fuck (Ice was right: this was auto-pilot Drake) and this is the resultā€¦more sassy shit.

Sassy ass bitch ainā€™t got nothing BUT numbers to stand on, cause we all know he canā€™t hang bar-for-bar with anyone that takes this rap shit for reals.
