Not only that but some people get so deep in their addiction they don't wanna come out. Not saying that's X but nobody knows whats happening behind closed doors.I hate when people do this, what did Flex do to help X.
As DMX continues to fight for his life in the White Plains hospital’s ICU department, Funkmaster Flex is calling out the music industry for their failure to help in preventing his hospitalization.
During a recent interview with Page Six, Flex criticized industry insiders, specifically those who were aware of his issues, for not providing additional assistance during X’s times of need.
“The music business is a gorilla. It’s a bottomless pit of happiness or depression...,” he said. “You don’t always get the best help when money is being made. It’s rough for someone like a DMX who may be in a mental and emotional state of childhood trauma that has happened to him and then being thrown into the money and fame.”
Unfortunately, DMX’s well known struggle with mental illness resulted in a drug overdose-turned-heart attack that landed the emcee in the hospital on Friday night (April 2). The news of his grave condition was met with a plethora of social media posts, some of which Flex took issue with as he believes some people show up on social media but fail to do the same in person.
“People can find the picture… that they had with the person that’s going through a tragedy in 30 seconds,” said Flex, “but you haven’t called that person in 10 years.”
“Let me see the picture of you when you went afterwards to his house because you was so concerned. I never see that picture where they go to the house,” he continued. “Nipsey Hussle passed away, and every washed up rapper made a pilgrimage to LA to go to the Marathon store to take a picture or to get their cards swiped. Bro, Nipsey needed that support when he was alive.”
DMX is currently in grave condition. Some of his children flew into New York to see him, and his mother, Arnett Simmons, and fiancée, Desiree Lindstrom, remain by his side.
Fuck flex but he's right
People were roasting the shit outta P when he was alive
But when he died it was a lot of fake love
Dude had a deadly disease and mfs love playing hit em up with pac clowning it.
I'm sure none of them except for Havoc visited him I'm the hospital whenever his disease was acting up
Nah but the mocking of his sickle cell is kinda foul if you his friend. You really feel like folks shouldn't have played Hit'em up? If a person was a fan or friend of Prodigy that song is a no go?
Comparing 1 addicts ability to remain sober vs someone who isn't an addict isn't smart
Not only that but some people get so deep in their addiction they don't wanna come out. Not saying that's X but nobody knows whats happening behind closed doors.
That verse killed Canibus's career. It's widely called one of the best verses ever.LL verse was better than X on 4,3,2,1?....yooo, what type of rewritten history shit is this.
I liked Canibus' sophomore album musically, but he never got that push from the industry he got before that LL beef.View attachment 503602
I wouldn’t say all that bruh
At least he had houses before a rap careerNYPost is lame. They made a article about the houses DMX lost during his rap career... wow
That verse killed Canibus's career.
It's widely called one of the best verses ever.
In the circles I was in that 4321 was the talk of the town when that dropped .No it didn't. The Ripper Strikes Back did
:tuh:......no it's not. Shit, it's not even LL's best verse.
Nah Canibus was being slick and there was some extra bars on the original version where I always thought Canibus was throwing darts at LL.LL pulled a punk move on Canibus if we all bein' real.
DMX killed that shit
