Welcome To aBlackWeb

it makes the most sense to visualize the concepts in this movie abstractly.

taking this film at literal value is messing a lot of ppl up

They could’ve done better. I’d watch it again and still say the same thing. It’s still a cute movie. It’s the first Disney animated movie where a Black person is the leading character so that says a lot in itself... in 2020.

??‍♀️

This would’ve worked too...with a Black woman as 22. Lol because no matter how much they try to hide behind 22 not being an actual white character in the movie, she was still a white character in the movie...

but she wasnt a white character. she hadnt been assigned a race or gender binary. it was just a spirit/soul.

race only matters on earth. sis dwelled in the realm before life

His dad having lived a life where there might be some regrets would've been able to bestow to his son knowledge regarding just chasing your dreams and not enjoying every moment of life.

i feel like thats been done several times over before.

Me, the wife and kids just watched it. It was deep, my father passed in September and my mother in law passed in 2017. We've been trying to explain the afterlife to the boys and this helped with them to understand. My daughter is 14 so she already knew.

Thats dope
