Welcome To aBlackWeb

I'm seeing a lot of weird ass reviews without proper context imo

This isn't a 2021 movie. It's a movie actually intended to be released in 2017 that got released in 2021 and it's being judged by the former and not the latter.

Does that really make a difference? To me it does.

Everyone's had rational thoughts about the film and then...

Ciaran Hinds (Steppenwolf) , Amy Adams (Lois Lane) , Joe Morton (Dr. Silas Stone) , Ben Affleck (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Wilhem Defoe (Vulko) , Diana Lane (Martha Kent) , Jason Momoa (Aquaman/Arthur Curry) , Jared Leto (Joker) but most importantly Ray Fisher (Cyborg/Victor Stone) shall get nominated to the Oscars and the Emmies for the performance given by all of them in Zack Snyder's JL. Niggas steals the show and Fisher was hammering so brilliantly and earnestly he made a top class act cast-studded legion of some of the most brilliant actors of Hollywood pass for tourists.

Fuck the Halmada/Johns/Berg/Whedon quatuor to this day.

:hahaha:

He hasn't posted in here since it was released but posted every single day leading up to the release🤔

It was ok, more coherent than the theatrical release but definitely not "amazing". Snyder is too hamfisted with everything he does, from the music during his slomo scenes with each of the heroes to the annoying ass 300 style yodeling in the WM action sequences. Man is practically yelling at the viewer "SUPERMAN IS JESUS, DO YOU GET IT!?!?"

That in your face style of directing is fine in some like 300 or even Sucker Punch but it's wild annoying in his superhero comic book adaptations.

So you're doing the latter in reference to my previous post lol

You have to also realize he was tasked with making a film of these iconic heros with practically no lead up to the film.

Two of the heroes solo films came out after JL instead of before

I also liked how they explained Steppenwolf's motives for trying to gather the motherboxes cause the original just had him trying to get them for no rhyme or reason
They Steppenwolf and Cyborg got the best upgrades in terms of story..

I liked the WW music, as I love that percussion set... And while the slo-mo annoyed me in 300, I loved it here. But I can understand the gripes... It was gratuitous.

Here we go, he would've made the same flick more or less even if he did have a proper MCU build up to work off of. Movie is just full of ZS cliches. Either you love em or you don't. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I've never really liked the Superman is a God thing have played out to be in comics. Same goes for the Hulk and The Sentry those characters are completely overpowered
