This shit was dope. Took a 5/10 film to a 8.5 for me. The fleshing out of the characters, cutting down the corny shit. Steppenwolf was wrecking shit. The war with Darkseid and his army vs Earth was crazy. My dawg Deathstroke in the cut

Ok finished the 1st two parts and I must say....I was wrong.
Yeah...it's possible to sit and watch all 4hrs straight. I was so into it...I didn't even realize how much time went by. One of the biggest reasons/difference imo...storytelling.
They actually took their time. Especially explaining the mother boxes...all the earth's protectors coming together to face Darkseid...etc. Man I wanted more of that battle. Darkseid caught that L tho. That must've been a YOUNG Darkseid. Mofo thought he was ready. Lol.
They could've cut the time of them women singing AFTER Aquaman left. I mean the brotha was gone. No need to keep singing. Lol. I hope we get a Ben Affleck solo Batman film tho.

PRAISE: I'm all for seeing a Director and writers full vision of their work. I almost literally turned cartwheels when I watched uncut versions of The Godfather and Once Upon a Time in America.
has a different vibe because it's what the fans of Snyder wanted..
It's what Snyder wanted until he was sadly sidelined by a personal tragedy
This is almost a completely different film.It has a different rhythm and look.
The Villain Steppenwolf has been transformed into a more intimidating character.
It is made evident that Cyborg definitely got short changed in the 2017 film.
The Snyder Cut allows more character development. I felt like I was watching a motion version of the DC History of Comics in certain scenes.Some action sequences felt sharper and more involving,different and extended.
If you were looking for an R rated comic film this year well here it is.
Things I can't deny about Snyder his dedication to full visual adaptation of a graphic novel/comic .He can direct the hell out of an action sequence,and his eye for detail and its all on full display in this movie.
In the end i was left wondering what Snyder would have and could have done with these great characters.
PROBLEMS: Some of the inserted CGI looked a bit choppy.The song placement was kind of laughable as some scenes played. One scene inclusion wasn't really necessary it was truly fan service with a capital F.There is a small bit of a hollow feel around the edges of the movie.

There were a few tweets in this very thread that said it was going to be that ratio because he wanted it released in imax initially and HBO wanted to preserve his original vision lol

MORE CHANTING | Admit it, the “ah-ooh-ahhhhh!” chorals that served as a music bed for many scenes, namely Diana’s, got to be a bit much. Give us more of her standalone movie’s synth/electronica! (Relatedly, there were MORE CEREMONIES, including the pomp and circumstance involved in taking out the Arrow of Artemis, and a strange singalong to accompany the sniffing of Aquaman’s discarded sweater.)

I can see him doing something dark and gritty like daredevil ,moonknight , or punisher because he does well with that stuff like he did with watch men he just has to bring it down a notch with the slow motion effects he could even do a solo r rated wolvsrine movie. That's snhders lane r-rated comic book hero films.
