It's not about quality. It's about subscription numbers and a big budget superhero movie would be a massive draw to a subscription service like HBO Max. Plus it's not like people WON'T see it considering how big the news is.

Most of those movies were financial and critical failures.

Why would folks pay a subscription now if they didn't give AF then?

Whatever HBO do is gonna carry that app, not them DCEU movies, see the DC App for example.

Man of Steel is still the highest grossing Superman film and more people look at the movie more positively today. Batman v Superman underperformed at the box office but had record DVD sales which later broke a billion. Justice League is the DCEU’s only major flop and that was mainly due to overly course correcting the events of the prior movies and being too much like Marvel (consumers like variety).

WB execs and analysts wouldn’t drop money if they don’t expect a major return on it (like the Mandolorian on Disney+). Considering a movie like Trolls 2 made massive bank on streaming imagine that times 100 by releasing a big budget superhero ensemble movie starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jason Mamoa as Aquaman by spending chump change to finish VFX.
