Welcome To aBlackWeb

Saw it last night ..I loved it! I thought it was a great origin story for Joker and Joaquin killed it..

No pun intended...

I was worried about seeing this before I did cuz I didnt know what to expect....the shit was lowkey incel porn/bad social skills propaganda the first half of the movie lol. It picked up once they tied it to thomas wayne.

Y'all asking forsequels or seeing him as fully becoming the joker but no this is a one shot else worlds stand alone film that is connected in no way to the dcu. I would say in this version joker stays locked in arkham for life and Bruce never becomes bat man but just a traumatized billionaire as an adult.

What they could do though is have joaqim phoenix come back and use him as the actual joker in a future bat man movie. Look at his face he looks just like the comic book version. Looking at that scene at arkham when he was talking to paper boy through that screen barrier all i saw was the joker.

I saw this movie early last week after I got tired of waiting on my Dad for two weeks to go to the show to see Rambo.

Anyways, I liked that this movie was a stand-alone film not connected to the DCEU in anyway. I liked Joaquin Phoenix version of Joker. This was a the first movie based a comic book character that didn't feel like an actual comic book movie. I think surrounding the film with the theme being a career loser + mental illness carried the film.

8/10

As far as making a sequel, I think it's best to leave well enough alone.

That was a fucking great movie! You keep thinking THIS is going to be the moment he goes off the edge, but the shit keeps getting worse, lol.

But when he did go, that nigga did the most beautiful swan dive into “insanity”. And I put that in quotes because I think he was the most sane when he went crazy, if that makes sense. And he went full comic joker.

So many mind blowing moments. When ol’ girl was just a delusion, the Thomas Wayne daddy reveal and resulting ambiguity, etc.

Perfect standalone. Do not do a sequel!

And the most fucked up part, his mom said he always seemed like such a happy child. That came from his laughing disorder though.

So her perception of him being so happy all the time was him being afraid and stressed all the fucking time!

And it was genius to make his laugh a disorder. That way you don’t really know how he feels about anything.

Word is Leto was furious about this movie and tried to kill it.
Yea its all over social media, i mean did they promise him he'd get the part or something?? Otherwise i dont get it, his version doesnt fit at all its obvious they was wanting a more serious take on it, and i didnt even mind letos joker but that shit should stay in suicide squad universe
