HBO DC's Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

If they do Cassandra Cain justice it will be all worth it. An Asian woman is directing this so hopefully she;ll take the character serious.

I really wish it had Barbara Gordon in the cast. She was such a big part of Cain's early stories, and that Batgirl movie is never getting made anyway.

Im still not sure why Montoya is being played by a 60 yr old woman though.

Really they are just a team of female vigilantes that come together due to whatever circumstances. The members rotate often, but the main team is batgirl, huntress, and black canary. They've had several different lineups through the years tho but always featured at least one of those 3. Other team members were hawk and dove, poison ivy, katana, and a couple others. I dont think Harley was ever a member but she may have been. They mainly operate out of Gotham or metropolis or some other made up city. Work with batman and stuff from time to time.
 
Never bothered with the TV show. Knew it would be trash before it even hit the air but at least they were a lot more faithful to the core concept than this movie will likely be.

Me neither. She's literally a part of Gordon's generation now. How can she really be the protege?

I have an idea for a Question trilogy. With her taking up the mantle at the end after Vic's death. Of course that would only work with a younger Renee. I hope that Joker movie pops off. I could pitch it as an elseworlds movie series to these fools if it does.

I think GCS was supposed to be about Harley Quinn/Catwoman/Poison Ivy. Who knows? WB is just coming up w/shit to throw at the wall hoping it sticks. I think this is one of those films.
 
Gotham City Sirens is still happening. I think they're just waiting to see what Reeves does with his movie since he might use Selina. But the rumor is that they want to give Harley a 3 movie arc. Birds of Prey, Gotham City Sirens and BOP v GCS.
 
They should've just done a Harley and Ivy movie. BOP should've came much later. Canary should've debuted in a team up movie with Green Arrow. Then she could've met Babs as Batgirl. Bats gets crippled by The Joker in a future movie and boom Oracle and Black Canary the Birds of Prey. But of course not...
 
I'm seeing it for Cass mostly but they'll probably fuck up her story. We'll see. I have never liked Harley Quinn a day in my life but do have an attachment to every single other character in this through the comics. Including the villains.

Actually tolerated her in SS cause for once she was more Sid m and Nancy with The Joker than just a straight nuisance. Ironically that's what Joker and Harley fans hated. Go figure.
