I'm starting to see what Andrew Schulz be talking about with comedy right now

Schultz is the perfect example of the meme I posted. Constantly whining about how comedians like him are being more censored while his profile is steadily rising. It makes no sense

I think Dave is just in a weird position. I think he genuinely wants to be liked and seen as "everybody's friend," but he also sees himself as a comedian's comedian and to some extent you can't be both. These past few specials have been his desperate attempts to convince his critics that he's not against them while also making the kinds of jokes that he thinks will be respected by his fellow comedians. Shit doesn't work.

My bigger problem with the special is basically something @Race Jones alluded too. Too often now he says shit that just isn't witty or funny. It's like he goes on some commentary rant and then remembers he has to try and make it a joke and the shit falls flat. A good example of it was the whole MeToo rant. Like he was making reasonable points and then he capped of with the "You should make me a leader. I'll get you everything you want if...you suck my dick." I audibly groaned at that shit. I was expecting him to come with something better than that.

I mean i understood what he meant i mean most of his comedy has a larger point and isnt as blunt as his close to that joke but i thought it worked but that was like him basically saying fuck it..... your not going to take matters into your own hands ill do it. Now suck it.. idk that was funny by contrast he was especially attentive to the Lmnops because the public reaction to his jokes clearly has bothered him he was insightful he tried to make peace with himself and tried to get people to understand.... its not even jokes at that juncture he is kind of over it...i think it hurts him but i think he feel uncertainty about a comics work

Mofo's described his friendship with a trans woman as him torturing her until she committed suicide.
