I think both strategies could work, but we have to weigh the pros and cons of each. I know for sure, we as a people have to force their hand when it comes to issues for and about us. Many other times when different groups force the politicians hand, they get for their own. When it comes to our people, either we or the politicians add other groups to our cause.

I dont think anyone likes blatant pandering, myself included. We all know that all politicians do it in some form or fashion as well tho. It's damn near expected.
My thing is, are you doing things outside of pandering that will help the folks that supported you out. I wouldnt be surprised if some of the politicians that are backing the potential reparations stuff in Cali are guilty of pandering at some point. But what matters to me is the followthrough
