We're missing that for sure

I mean, the pro blacks at least present the idea of withholding the vote for political leverage.

But the reason there is no or else, the reason we haven't given them an ultimatum is because black people don't care ourselves like that

For years and decades we've been conditioned that our only objective as black voters is to keep republicans out and demand NOTHING for ourselves

I don’t think too many people care to want to change. We can’t even agree who should or could spark a change.

And honestly I don’t think people really want change.

I have learned the hard way too many times.
This isn’t about black unity .
Our minds are too jaded to trust or support each other.

How many time do people not want to take the lead but follow the already surging crowd when it’s time to riot?

Who tell us about crimes we should care about?
Who leaves guns in broken down train cars and trucks?
Who allows us to destroy whole neighborhoods as an in estamental tactic?
Who poisons our music?
Who confused our kids?
Who arrests and sentences or people?

Niggas will make 17 cent in jail for white peoples but want an automatic raise or discount from black peoples .

I usually don't get involved in this discussion unless I'm trying to break y'all up when y'all attack family members. I read both sides of this discussion and both sides make good cases. So I have a question for both sides. For the ones that say withhold the votes, what gains are there when some in the dem party are moving on to other voting blocks? And to the ones that say to vote, we see in some cases voting is not enough, what do you believe is the next steps that we as a people should take to make our voices and votes heard?

There hasn't been a mass non voting movement yet but the mere threat of it got their attention. The democrats see their support slipping, the numbers aint lyin, so they have taken heed to what MY SIDE is doing. My side has made strides in the reparations push

The loyaltyist actually don't care enough to have our voices heard. They tell my side to stfu because they don't want change. They aren't gonna say or do anything to apply pressure.

imo it's pretty clear that both sides of this argument have something to offer. Making noise, disrupting and applying pressure are all tactics that should be used. Whats another tool to be used ALONGSIDE those actions? Voting. You cant objectively look at things and be like yeah see making noise works and at the same time shit on people for voting. The people that are hearing the so-called noise and are acting on it are by and large democrats.

I dont think one person in here said voting is the only thing that should be done.. again.. quite the opposite. But some folks think their way is the ONLY way and if you dont agree 1000% youre some sort of traitor or somethin. Its dumb and childish as hell and instead of the silly arguing there should be collaboration and discussion to meet in the middle. Put the insults and petty arguing to the side and have some grown up discourse

I personally don't believe withholding a vote is going to change anything.

If you have an election and there are 10 eligible people to vote, and only 2 of them vote cause 8 withheld theirs, the candidate that received the 2 votes is going to win.

How does withholding your vote fix this?
