CM Punk Fired From AEW

Thats a wild stretch take lol but nah FTR didnt need Punk to say relevant, they been one of the hottest tag teams for a few years now, Dax and Punk seemed to be genuine friends and have been for a min now and FTR was supposed to help make things right between up The Elite.
Edge will take his place since they're all legit friends. Rated FTR

yea I remember they were pushing hard for them to work shit out

Edge stays next to one of them here in NC. I could definitely see him coming in to form a Rated FTR w/ them but the money is in a Edge & Christian reunion tho like OG said. I know Matt said he want the Hardys last match to be against Edge & Christian so if he goes there they'll get the opportunity

Oh gawd. If Edge does come to AEW and that happens...this just gives Jeff a green light so STOOPID wit the crazy shyt he's already done. Lol

Same thing I said b4 he even got fired

:js4:

Why bring him in and even jeopardize ruining the flow of things while they are going so good? Everything is on the up and up. That would be dumb as hell
At this point, Punk is more of a liability than an asset and he probably will be in another situation in WWE like he was in AEW. I understand Vince & Nick Khan may want to do business moves but is the juice really worth the squeeze? I'm sure there is still A LOT of beef with HHH, Vince, & Punk over how he left WWE in 2014. I see nothing but chaos w/Punk coming back to WWE.

Punk is more than likely finished in wrestling.

Meh...I wouldn't be surprised if WWE did bring him back. Money over anything. And one thing Punk has been great at doing...is selling merchandise. But I think with the direction WWE has been goin lately...long term...not sure Punk fits.

Oh he'd get FOR SURE pop if he showed up as an RR entrant. But are you gonna have him win it? If not...then which WWE talent are you puttin him wit to feud? B/c you gotta think about WM next year as well. Who knows. Guess we have to see.

He just needs a run like Edge had. Sprinkled in, short but sweet and get the ring.

My biggest thing is to teach promo clases to the NXT cats. If anybody should teach that aspect its Phil Brooks.

Khan managed this horribly. If he weren't the owner he would be out of the job for how he mangled this situation at every stop. Since he is the owner he should be looking at getting some actual management in place to create better guardrails to prevent future incidents. Maybe this AEW "discipline committee" can be that 🤔

Punk in WWE is just a different kettle of fish entirely. They're a much more tightly run organization. It'd be contractually laid out that he is coming in with 2 strikes and any wrongdoing would lead to immediate termination. Either he would do business or he'd be gone, less risk involved than what AEW endured.
Tony Khan up until he fired Punk imo had no spine because he should have parted ways with him after the first incident.

If WWE were to sign him again (which they shouldn't) Idk if I would hold that 2 strikes against him being that it was on AEW company time. Punk hasn't been w/WWE as an active talent in nearly 10 years. I would let him come in with a clean slate after he's sat for at least 2 - 3 months or after any potential legal suits w/Tony Khan if it happens... Once the controversy is resolved then I would give him 2 strikes.

1st strike: 30 day suspension. No pay.
2nd strike: Immediate termination.

Ultimate Warrior made it back with open arms and a mic....dont see why Phil cant. They can bank off his merch for that short time and keep the "everybody is eventually welcomed back home" thing going and sign a legends deal. If he wrestles thats just a bonus.

Im tired of downloading community created Punk in 2k dammit!

2 Strikes based on his last WWE stint. He was out of pocket for accusing the medical staff of nearly killing him.

It was a crazy claim and one he had to admit to lying about in court. So short leash based off of that, if they would work with him at all.

Yeah Ultimate Warrior when I think about it had a lot of chances out of anyone in the business lol

-Threaten to no-show SummerSlam '91 because of more money. Fired afterwards.
-Came back at WM 8. Fired a week before SS '92 for failed drug test.
-Returns in '96 WM 12. Walks out during the summer of '96.
-Wrestled in WCW for a few months in '98. Left. Tries to bully Bischoff for a ridiculous contract. End of his prime.

I doubt they hold that against him and the guy that sued Punk isn't even in the company anymore and has been gone for years. I think they threw the case out when it was all said and done. I didn't even know about the bold. Vince/Nick Khan might give Punk a clean slate though if they really want him back.

Punk & Colt won the case. The doc couldn't prove they defamed him. AJ Lee also corroborated that he had a misdiagnosed fatty deposit, the outside physician said it was consistent with MRSA but didn't explictly say it was MRSA, which is what lead to Punk admitting that he mixed it up with a staph infection.
