Imma check it out, but that gave me a Babadook type vibe.
Lol @ out-intellect each otherINB4 all the pseudo-intellects see the movie, then go on social media to out-intellect each other by droppin dissertation type responses explaining the movie's hidden meanings and theories...only to be debuncted by Jordan Peele himself. Lol
Damn, and they got Vanessa Williams back. Still looking fine as ever.
Idk how I feel about it tbh man..

I appreciate the creative approach of the trailer, looking forward to the undertone message, but I honestly want more of a physical form of horror vs the spiritual "jump scare" style that has been very large the past 20 years.whats wrong?

Maybe the trailer is not showing that, but I thought IT did a decent job blending the pyhchological and physical thrill of things. From the trailer, it seems like a possession realistic approach. I wanted to see see Candyman floating/flying, and some crazy supernatural shit. I just hope Peele doesn't make a fictional character too realistic like a obsess fan carrying on his duties
I think supernatural horror with important black issues is rarely shown in film, which is why to me to this day Tales from the hood is my all time favorite horror because it speaks about alot of real deep black issues while incorporating supernatural horror elements. I thought this new film could possibly carry that mantle in today's climate which is heavily needed
But bruh it's one fucking trailer so I hope I'm fucking wrong lol
Pointed what out?I'm glad y'all pointed it out, that shit makes me hate the movies after the first watch
