Thing is most governments have a limited budget for that kind of stuff so they try to prioritize. If north Americans cared more we would have enough money for both but when only some people can get the services how would you honestly want to see them get used?

Dawg... I've told y'all before I worked in Defense. I worked with a grip of 3-letter agencies on projects and the amount of money I've seen poured into projects that the government would just drop mid-project or right at completion is retarded. Millions spent on shit that will end up being thrown in a crate and stored somewhere unfinished because they changed their mind or because management changed and they thought a project wasn't necessary anymore.
That money could go towards families. We have more than enough money to do it, we're just allocating that money to bullshit.
