OUT NOW Big K.R.I.T. - Digital Roses Don't Die

My thing is I don't mind when folks do something different, but to lean so heavy on singing when it's not one of those things Krit does well and do that for a whole album made it a chore for me personally.

I meant to quote the post right above this one but he just seems like he's entered a different phase in his life which isn't a bad thing at all but sometimes it doesn't always translate over to the music side

Now had he released this project as an alter ego, I don't think anyone would be as disappointed cause they know off the rip this not the Krit we've come to know and love

Just my two pennies

Yeah that would have been cool. And personally if I was on his management team I would have pushed the first single as "Rhode Clean". I think it would have been a stronger single for direction he was going on this album.

Album is cool to me, I'll be listening again.. Musically it's nice af.. But it's def not hip hop.. I was expecting some hard hitting bass shit not his love below.. I think he will be coming back this year.. He said alotta music coming.. So maybe we will get that KRIT we were looking for

Got 11 songs in and still haven't heard anything that makes me want to listen to it again. This album might be ok for a specific vibe, but it's not for me.

After listening to it on the way to work..this isnt even good for what its wanting to be. It just sounds like he forcing the sound through out. Im all for this sound if it was solid but it really aint.
Thats where I'm at with it. Like I understand what he was trying to do, but he just not too good at it. This on some Lil Wayne Rebirth shit.

I think in Krit mind he was trying to pull a TPAB type out of my ordinary thing but this ain't it

Listen to the project with those songs then lol. Yall want dudes recreating the same songs over and over again
I have to disagree on this one brother. Well, lemme say I agree with you in one regard.

I think the transition was so abrupt that there was no transition period to get acclimated to whatever direction he's currently going in.

I'm still going to listen to this project to give an honest opinion but the first 3 singles are just a stark contrast to what we're used to
