Ayo who here drives a Charger?

I grew up the race track bro, the cars you originally mentioned are slow on the highway in stock form. Point is the 5.7 Charger out runs them all. We're not talking about 100k "super cars" so miss me with that Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari talk. They better be faster than a 30k Charger/Challenger. And to be blunt IDGAF about road courses, we're strictly talking straight line speed in STOCK form.

When I get back home i'll post pics of my old Mustang thats currently getting a HCI LS2 swapped into it. Go be a monster on the highway/streets.
What area you in? I was wanting still thinking about swapping my lt1 for a ls cause in Memphis cats not fooling with tje lt1 far as tuning. But I want to keep the lt1 and just stroke the motor and drop some internal forged inside and get that torquehead kit

They won't even fuck with bolt-ons?

edit: So they don't even tune 93+ Camaros and Firebird/Trans Am's either?

typa shit is that???

I got like 1 maybe 2 people but I want one person to do the whole thing not trying to get a section done then it go to somebody else. I may just leave it stock though. It moves but want some more power. Like if I want to put a tune on it I'll have to send the pcm off. The person it's going to is official just the lt1 is the stone age motor still stout but everybody talking about put a ls in it

My mechanic does race cars/ fixes em and builds motors but he also got a full time job so you know how that goes

Bro probably pulling nice money though
I'm not knocking it. I worked at one for a few years in college so I just know the personnel at one.

And based on his prior post I don't think he works at the call center itself. Just the same building.

Yo I remember when the charger first came out. I saw somebody pushing that bitch in LA and I immediately wanted one. By the time I could afford one, I ain't want that bitch no more.

Rented a Charger after wrecking my Altima. Was hooked after that.

why?

You could have massaged the 4.6 yourself with bolt-ons to get close to 300hp (with goo gobs of torque to go with it), or you could just get a 400+ hp crate 4.6L and just swap that. Shit, for all that you coulda swapped the 4.6 with an old built 5.0 and it prolly woulda bee cheaper and less complex that an LS2.
this post let's me know you been out the game a while or something. The LS platform is substantially cheaper to modify than the Ford modular engines. this car will be 500rwhp NA when complete. there are very few 4.6 mod motors, if any, doing that without a ton of money thrown into them. even then at that point they won't be very streetable like the LS line of engine are. The saying is true, no replace for displacement. this ls2 will have way less than 5k in it when done. I been posting on mustang websites since 2003ish when I got that car, the only way they make real power is through forced induction.

I'm in ARKANSAS bro. All the engine parts for this swap are coming from TEXAS SPEED SHOP out of Texas, look them up. you can get a ls1 or ls2 for around $500 from a salvage yard.

I think the last time I looked I saw a 400+hp 4.6 for around $7000. I looked because I was thinking of buying yet another Mustang (I've already owned 3 of them) but this time a '99-'04. I also looked into doing a 302 swap into those years 'cause building out a 302 is cheap and pretty easy to do.

But, dropping a GM engine into a Ford??? Shit is just... wrong.
