My favorites haven't changed much since I first started listening. Pac,outkast,scarface,ugk, twista,8ball mjg,Wayne,36, dipset,the roots,mos def, devin the dude,etc...My ears are southern/Midwestern/Western with some east coast sprinkled in.

I taught myself to read when I found a box full of my grandmother's old romance novels, lol. Stashed them in my room and stayed holed up in there tryna learn everything I wasn't supposed to know yet.

Lol I remember getting beat with the Joys of Sex book when my mom caught me once.

I wanted to be an actress growing up. I loved performing and the costumes. Won an acting scholarship but couldn't afford to continue the classes, plus I was never situated long enough to get established with it.

My dreams changed from being in front of the stage to behind the stage. I love to sew and I made costumes for theater in high school, made my own prom dress, and made the plus sized girls in my neighborhood clothing as a side hustle.

Went to art school for fashion design and got kicked out. Went to CSU for a psych degree but I left to work full time when my family needed me to.

Currently on pace to get back into school and finish up. Currently driving Lyft because it gives me the freedom of schedule to look after my family. I have a job interview with PayPal on Friday so we'll how it goes, jo.

Lol cause I'm a dumbass who decided to become gang affiliated instead of pay attention or even go to class most days. I was 17 going on 18 and it was right after my parents divorced and I moved into the dorms. I was on academic probation the 1st year and kicked out the 2nd.

No regrets though, I had to learn how to handle myself as an adult. How to face adversary and command respect from my peers amongst other things. I learned more on the streets than I ever did in that school. My life was sheltered up until that point.

Yeah I recently had to stop a couple from having sex in my car. Drunk wypipo up near wrigleyville,smh... They kept saying I could watch and I kept telling them I really didn't want to and if they didn't cut the shit they'd have to get out.

I'm sure they were doing some hand stuff cause they kept giggling,but every time I saw the chicks head go down I'd scream.

Longest fuckin ride, smh.

They're looking for somebody to help train their customer service people. I've been doing cs all my working life so I'm ready for the position. It just better be worth giving up what I'm doing now.

So you were gang affiliated, remind me to stay on your good side lol If you don't mind disclosing the info, what gang were you affiliated with? Are you still affiliated? What type of shit did you get into during that period?


What lessons did you learn on the street that you didn't know while being sheltered up to that point?
