End of the day it's just a popularity and marketing ceremony designed to sell music - anyone who genuinely claims to enjoy music wouldn't take it seriously or give it the light of day which is why I'm surprised each year with how much people on here get invested (and then disappointed) in it

yep. American music awards was for most popular and grammy's is most artistic. with the lack in creativity and ingenuity in original music the lines have blurred worse in recent years. there was already a racism problem over 35 years ago, now it's just mucked up.
