Im confused now lol. It’s cool man ✊🏿
Pay me no mind. I'm buzzin cuzzin. It just feels like in my pov you are saying that casuals decide if the league is hot or not. IMO. The league's hotness is determined by what the networks are paying. The price of the brick keeps going up so somebody is watching. I know I am. Don't really care who isn't.

Oh no definitely not. You mentioned something about the ratings and I chimed in with one of the reasons being that the league has a lack of household names to attract new fans to watch the games. But if this trend continues the price of the brick will go down…. That’s why bitch ass Silver is addressing it.

The price goes down then maybe the games get pushed to one or two channels instead of 17. One of my gripes about the rating argument is bcuz at its highest the games were on CBS, NBC, and TNT. You know, free TV or basic cable channels. Now you gotta pay good money for ESPN or League Pass etc. Casuals ain't doing that no matter who the household name is bcuz they are casuals. That's why I said marquee games on TNT nights suffer bcuz the stars are out due to injury. Casuals will watch TNT before ESPN due to easy access and familiarity with the TNT crew.

You’re correct about that and the fact that you can’t see the games is a problem. However in order to become a diehard fan you start off as a casual….

You get intrigued by a star which makes you keep watching. You follow that team to watch the star. You fall in love with that team which leads to you being a diehard.

Shaq made me watch the Heat

Wade made me watch again

Wade made me follow the Heat

The Heat turned me into a diehard

Casuals can start watching games and stay casuals their entire life though

Like the niggas in a barbershop

For me it was Dr.J. Crazy bcuz my family had season tickets to Lakers games at the Forum.

Developed a loyalty to the team and watched how the franchise mishandled Barkley.

Then stayed loyal during some very dark times. Hated them niggas tho.

Iverson restored the feeling.

The Process is putting gray on my chin.
