The higher seed should always get the lower seed in each round like the NFL does it.
You play 82 games to get a high seed and should be awarded every round of the playoffs to play the worse fo the teams remaining (record wise)

Having an all star game does nothing for the product on the court
Load management does nothing for the product on the court
The MVP award does nothing for the product on the court
I can go on and on about things leagues don’t that does not “improve” the product of the court
But you should reward the regular season and teams winning more games
