why are we comparing awards to things that can actually effect outcomes
Lmao.

That’s my point. Good teams should get the best possible outcome for winning during the 82. It’s why they have seeding in the first place

You making this hard for no reason

Play in rewards bad teams in the regular season

Re-seeding rewards good teams in the regular season

Easy to see the difference
I disagree

Bad imo is a team intentionally tanking and being rewarded for the playoffs

Not a team that was plagued by injuries to key players and ended up being a game or two out of the 8th seed

But even then, that team has a chance, lose once and you're outta there.

But good talk brother. I'm not trying to change your pov.

Apples and oranges. NFL the top seed is getting the bye so it makes sense that they would be slotted into the tournament with the lowest available seed.

NBA all the seeds are already entered into the locked in tournament bracket. It'd defeat the purpose of having a bracket to turnaround and switch the order around for every upset.
I also think home field advantage in the NFL is probably better than the NBA as well

There's also something to be said about TV deals as well. IDK

Just spitballing

They already get the best possible outcomes

Home court for multiple rounds In the playoffs

Lower seeds to start the playoffs

They already get a cakewalk as is

In the last 30 years you know how many teams seeded 4 or lower in their conference made the finals? 6

Out of 60 teams

The top teams gon be there at the end dawg. The change would be pointless.
