Steph put up 26/5/6/2 as the best player on the winning team with the entire defensive game plan focused on him.

And they gave it to the guy guarding the guy who put up one of the best stat lines in Finals History.

I think he has another gear, honestly. I would like to see him put his pedal to the floor.

He could go for 35+ on 50/50/90 for a series and I wouldn’t be surprised. This series for him wasn’t really impressive for me.

Can score from anywhere on the court in any circumstance. KD can effectively get any bucket Steph can, but not vice versa. Defensively it’s not even a debate. KD can get 30+ easy if you only gave him post touches. No pin downs, up top ISO’s, no catch & shoot, pnr as roll man. None of that, just simply throw it to him high post and work. That’s not Steph. KD is effective from small ball 5 all the way to play initiator and everything in between. Like I get it Steph play style is more dynamic and fun to watch but like fam come the fuck on. KD


When push came to shove and Bron had to be taken down in pivotal moments with the game on the line it was KD knocking his face off with the clutch buckets. & in those circumstances the Warriors made sure to get KD the rock and everyone else got out the way.

Great factual post.

I think the people saying guys like Durant, Lebron, and Kawhi are the top players in the league is due to the fact that they are more multi faceted as players while being efficient. Curry is no doubt top 5 or at the least 6 or 7 in the league at this time but if the refs swallow their whistle and allow defenders to be more physical those guys wouldn't be hurt as much as Curry most likely would.

Not to mention the defensive limitations (he is a solid team defender) Curry has compared to the 3 guys named above.

Curry is a great player (underrated slasher and playmaker) and the best shooter I've ever seen play the game. You can't diminish his accomplishments.
 
i wonder what the ratings for the finals will be

only people of certain fanbases care about dynasties and shit

its a fact that when NE is in the SB, the ratings go to shit

i know a lot of people will tune in to see what the bucks can do against the warriors, but if they get down 2-0/3-0, i think only bucks market will watch the rest of the series.

Bron should have got it. I know he was on the losing team, but he led his team in every statistical category. You don't get more valuable than that. Hell, I can't remember if it was that season or the next season, but one Finals he led both teams in Pts, Asts, and Rebs and one he led both teams in Pts, Asts, Rebs, Stls, and Blks. So let's be real. Does doing that mean that Bron was really just great or does it mean that everybody else just isn't that good. To me, it's the latter. How this nigga doing all the facilitating on offense, scoring all the points, getting all the rebounds, and getting back and playing all the defense? That should literally be impossible.

i've never understood why being on the winning team gets more attention than who was the better player in the series
