No I don't think Kanye is a better artist,but because BIG died of course Ye has had a longer career.

Kanye is a producer first and has writers

I'm not going to say he doesn't write anything,but I can't put him with the ppl who do this in their sleep rap wise.

Kanye is like Dr Dre.Both great reciters ,but not really writers.Great at composing though.

They both sound good when they rap though.

Off topic

This time period was some of the best and worst times in my life

I always figured that Pac would die how he died,but it was almost unimaginable that he would really die.

After he got out of jail I suspected he would bring that same energy he was bringing to rappers to some regular gang banger or street dude and get shot again,but it was surreal when it really happened.

I remember calling my friend from Brooklyn and telling him I just heard BIG got killed on the radio because he was a super BIG fan being from BK.

We was young so I called the house phone and had to tell his mother first.

I never would have thought their stories would really end like that even though the writing was on the wall.
 
I get their point but BIG also has more than just 2 albums...

He has plenty of features, freestyles and also a few 12" like 'Party and Bullsh!t' etc to prove he is easily in the category of GOAT or Top 5...

You could argue that BIG if anything improved his legacy and strike rate by not being able to hang around too long and fall off or drop weak projects like BP3 or Kingdom Come as he got older etc

Two stone cold classic studio albums that rank in every Top 5 and easily Top 10 album ranking puts him in the convo for GOAT, it just annoying we didnt get to see much growth as he got older like Nas or Jay and give us more variety of songs to listen to...

Ive played BIG's two albums to death which wouldnt happen if he had a Nas or Jay like depth, even though Nas and Jay do have duds too but you sift through the weaker joints and still find plenty of heat, look at Nas's latest run for example...

wordplay

he’s not missing much. dudes body of work can compete with anyone’s, and he only has three years worth. how’s that not greatness?

Thought about Mahomes . In the end 3 rings in 4 SB appearances in 6 years of playing is a bigger sample size than 2 albums over 4 year period. Pre this Super Bowl calling him goat already would be overzealous as well even though to my eye nobody nicer than Pat.
 
Let me change my stance a bit

He did do enough to be The GOAT

But then as time went on, things changed as more rappers came and knocked him off of that pedestal
