Part of greatness is longevity. If DMX passes away after Flesh of my flesh he’s higher on his career perception is higher than he is now. Shit if Cube does during the rollout to Death Certificate he’s higher. If BTNH perished after E.1999 let’s just put our heads in the sand and say their perception wouldn’t be different either.
Best and greatest two different things. If someone feels Biggie the best rapper to ever live I actually agree. Greatest there’s an argument and that’s not some gen z shit it’s an ample question. Just trying to not look at the angle would just be fanning it up.

We all know that Big died before his second album came out, but Big walked in the door already a rap superstar
He was already a legend on the East Coast from singles and ,song leaks and mixtape songs
BIG never really had to build up to stardom,he just had a star quality along with being a great rapper.
