Welcome To aBlackWeb

IDK what yall arguing about ,but they're casting a an actress for Storm in BP 2.Might be the black girl from How To get Away With Murder or another actress.

Where did you see this at? That would be cool to introduce Storm and the X-Men (or at least some of them) in Black Panther 2

I'm not hearing shit, cuz you're not saying shit.

This ain't got nothing to do w/ being relateable, pandering or whatever other shit you wanna bring up.

Master P was talking bout OWNERSHIP or lack thereof.
bruh you are literally bringing up movies P wasn't talking about and asking questions he didn't answer , then when i reply you're saying that's not what he was talking about....

you going in circles, i made my points. i'm done

Didn't Disney donate a ton of money to different inner city areas for STEM research centers due to this movie and the characters doing the same at the end of it?

Not to mention all the jobs that production made for different black people in the film industry. Damn near every job for that film was manned by mostly black people. Black people also got great publicity for their trades when they won major awards for costume and set design which helps them get more work for future projects.

I understand that the studio isn't black owned but it definitely helped the black community not just through representation but also through tangible ways to monetize skills.

@Duwop
that's all fine and well, but literally nothing about what i addressed

Master P said Black Panther success didn't benefit black people/community cuz it wasn't OWNED by black folks. Despite the fact the majority of the cast and crew was black.

You C/S it. So I asked do you feel the same about other black films, that had a majority black cast and crew, that wasn't owned by black folks.

It was that simple.

I was more so addressing what Master P stated at what you gave a GOAT to.

As far as the point you typed I can some what understand but still refute your gripe. The reason Killmonger resonated with so many American black people is because his character seriously pointed out our experience. His gripe also made T'Challa reassess his way of thinking and realize he should help others that look like him who are struggling. The screen play for the movie didn't come off as pandering because it dealt with real life stuff and was written by real life African Americans.

The comics even touched on real life African American issues more once African American people like Christopher Priest, Reginald Hudlin, and Ta' Nahesi Coates started writing it. Black Panther spent a good bit of time in Harlem under Priest run writing it and Coates touched on all types of social issues since he has been writing. The character originally wasn't written by black people so that is why some of the things you talk about have a bit of validity but it definitely changed once black people got a hold of it.

The movie though touched on a myriad of issues including the one you seem to have your biggest issues with and that's the difference between African Americans and African black people.

and my answer is that at the very least boyz n the hood and menace society along with the rest of the black movies of that era told black stories toblack people... even if the studios had a hand in it, it wsa still our stories... that means something....

yes that answer has nothign to do with what P said, but you asked me a question that P wasn't asked, so of course my answer is gonna be differnt from his,

i agree with what he said, because BP wasn't birthed from the same mindset......

BP is some comic book shit that just got thrown into a larger universe of comic book shit that was an act of inclusion similar to the black little mermaid...

if you don't see a difference in what disney is doing on a large scale verse what black cinema was doing in the 90's then you don't wanna see it..

i don't know how many times yall want me to argue the shit just to disagree again

yall don't wanna see the points i'm making

Your refusal to answer the question, while trying to play victim, is sad. You keep trying to talk about things that have nothing to do with the point you cosigned or the direct question put to you.

Answer the question honestly and quit playing the role of victim.
