Welcome To aBlackWeb

whats wrong with private school now? lol

is somebody suggesting the general public funds the public schools?

we talking construction, maintenance, salaries, books, supplies, etc?

Cool just asking cause I don't know you personally and not accusing cause I don't know you personally.

You doing what you can and that is anybody can do. I get why you plan on moving now. Good luck with all of that kids are the future!

Thanks. If I get what I want, the area we'll move to has a nice black population so that's an ok compromise I guess .

If he's serious and gets the financial backing he can win. And him being single won't be an issue - Presidents James Buchanan and Grover Cleveland were single (although Cleveland got married in his first term). Buchanan had girlfriends but never married.

He's not winning.

Sometimes your approach is off putting
because i get tired of seeing fuck shit and time pass?

maybe we need a thread about how to approach black people.
i myself never seen so many tough talking killers who dont like the way people talking to them.

the white man shits on you and its ok to get crumbs...

while i understand how black men get beat down by society everyday....do you think maybe another black man is seen as what can you tell me vs trying to listen ?

"I have a specific agenda for the AMERICAN PEOPLE". He didn't use the word "BLACK" Translation: I'm not doing anything for the black community except taking your votes. People, if a politician uses the words American people, minorities, or people of color when you ask them about the BLACK agenda, understand that the candidate isn't looking out the interests of the black community.

Notice how Cory got frustrated when asked about the BLACK AGENDA? He was taking a page from Hilary's playbook which is called "benign neglect". Then he tried to dodge it by deflecting with rambling. Basically, this guy just told you he's not going to do anything for black people except take your votes without offering something in return. That's NOT how we play. NO FREE VOTES.

I want to hear from the NJ posters about this candidate.

I'm torn on some of the shit Mike said. It's not that I think he's wrong. I think he's oversimplifying things. If you want to be a DJ or a rapper or an athlete and you have the talent, sure you can come out of normal public school and be ok. If you want to be a doctor, lawyer, or scientist, you can also come out of public school and make it. However, let's not act like the school you go to doesn't matter more for the second group than it does for the first. If you got kids you want the best for them. If I had the money, I'm going to send my kids to the best place for them. If the private school has a better curriculum but is filled with a bunch of racists that will scar my kids, then I'm not sending them there. However, if that private school is decent socially and far ahead of the public school academically, then that's where my kids would go. I'm not going to stunt their opportunities just so I can say that we were loyal to the black community. There are other ways to support the community.
i also agree and see a bit of a problem with what hes saying.

hes saying going to a white school can hostile.
going to some black schools can be hostile.
i think the community needs to stand up and make the school better. taxes can bring in better teachers but parents can help change the curriculum.

is not impossible

if you want the ability to send other kids there, offer vouchers so that they can attend

and, you think white people care about how much time is needed to coordinate something? there is a group of white people right now planning something that wont come to fruition for another 2 years or more. Why cant blacks do the same thing?

OR

like he said, go to your school boards and elect newer members. Use your money and affluence to evoke change. Or maybe you know someone with more money and affluence than you. Let them be an advocate for you.
i dont like your approach...its off putting.

lol

i actually agree with this.
i think the main thing black people suffer from is the need for fast results.
planning is good but if i dont get result by next tuesday.....whats the point.

This is very true

this is because he dont want to get boxed in too early.

saying black ....makes the rest feel like he wont help them.

But we've seen this play out BEFORE.

Also have you notice how Kamala specifically stated what she's going to do for other groups? (LBGT, immigrants) She didn't feel "boxed in" and neither does Cory.

this is a prime example

how did you come to this conclusion from me saying your approach is off putting

President has to lead the entire country. If he wants to get elected, that has to be the message.

No point in having somebody riding hard for blacks in the election then losing. What does that accomplish?

i get it.....i do.

the thing is no one wants to help the black people because we are the stepping stone for everyone....which should make us more important. but it doesnt.

i hate when people throw up their hands and say see they dont care.....
but do we really care enough to hold them accountable?

lgbt and immigrants have black people in the groups.

all these sub groups are breaking us down....its giving others more numbers.
so alot of people side with the group that will be heard vs staying with being black first.
and its crazy because most people wont know your black and gay or black and an immigrant ...they just see black and treat you accordingly.

Most of us are NOT throwing up hands. We've been vetting which is what we should have been doing. We ARE holding them accountable now. That's why these candidates are feeling the pressure. They are so used to us giving our votes for free, now they have to provide QUID QUO PRO for it. Our future and lives are at stake.

Yes LGBT and immigrants have black people in those groups, so the question to ask them is what do you put first, your sexual orientation/being an immigrant or your blackness? I asked this one female who is a lesbian, this question, and she was on code and said her blackness. Let's you know where their loyality lies.

Also only ONE candidate has spoke about reparations and that is Marianne Williamson.

I think you're creating your own narrative. As a president he wants to get EVERYONE'S SUPPORT not just black America. He's black so it's expected that if he runs he will get the black vote. You don't want to alienate any group early on because we don't know a lot about him and in a time where you have people like Trump using divisive politics this is the smart approach to do. Obama didnt say he was the Black president at any point during his campaigns when people tried to pigeon hole him but in his second term still managed to do a lot for the black community directly.

As for what he's offering it is still very early man. Calm down. We don't even have a clear cut idea of who will support him with financial backing, what his exact economic policies are or how the DNC feels about him.
Did Trump have everyone's support? or primarily white america?

help me understand then.....give me an example of how to speak.

cmon....im all ears.
@Hellczar often points it out to you, but stop trying to assume people dont want to be better. How about you end a conversation with "if anyone is seriously interested, PM me and lets talk"

It's not a narrative when others see the con game as well.

Sure he wants everyone's support that's a given. Here's what you're NOT seeing. Candidates have NO QUALMS about stating what they will do for other groups, (Kamala just did this.) but when it comes to African-Americans as a group that's when "benign neglect" kicks in. Cory JUST did this in the interview fam. Don't believe me, but just keep watching Cory and watch what he'll saying he'll do for other groups specifically. So that "don't want to alienate any other group" narrative is total false. Don't fall for that.

Serious question, are Canadians even allow to vote in US elections?
