2018 NFL Season Thread

Carr is feeding the beast n playing right into their hands by calling in butthurt about what max said.

If you feelin that strongly, get his number and call him. Talk to him like a man. All this front street shit, is jus what espn wants.

Derek Carr be talkin bout playing hurt like other players out there 100% all the time

lol i dont blame lev bell. He wants to get that long term deal and live in miami. Makes sense from his pov.

But imo only the texans n the colts make sense

Texans..the teeexans. U mean the type that got scraped by the Colts in the first rd..the texxxxans...brah. IMO no situation is better than KC. Got a pro bowl QB on a rookie deal and a shitty division. A great play caller and a great wide receiver that can take the top of the defense. Colts would also be a good look. But if he want that bag and a cool lifestyle, dolphins is where to go. No state tax neither. Is gonna come down to what HE wants

Why wouldn’t he work in Houston again?

Lev Bell to KC?! That makes zero sense. They dont need him. Their o is set, spending big time long term money on bell would be hustling backwards. They need to spend their free agent $ on the defense. And jus draft benny snell, damien harris or josh jacobs.

You right on the defense point. However, kc offense looked better w Hunt and could be even better with bell. Of course all other resources would have to be allocated to defense.

Also you can make your argument for any team that signs a big free agent to a large long term deal. Texans have Oline and secondary issues that need resources. That playoff game against Colts showed that on Prime time TV. Bell ain't gonna fix that. The Colts have Dline n secondary issues that should be addressed. Bottom line is, whoever signs Bell will be neglecting a major need. That's how top tier free agent shopping goes

And if I was Bell. And had to pick a scenario that is best suited for me to win a super bowl. If that is what he decides to do. KC over houston...by a landslide. You can't separate Obrien n Reid, as well as the divisions from the argument. We are looking at the full picture. Also that KC home field advantage is better. Bell already used to playing in that cold weather.

That’s all I’m saying.
Bro, based on what they have shown so far in their short NFL careers, the gap is wide. Mahomes is on a different level (Although, Andy Ried gets alot of credit for that too).

As a Texan fan, u might believe Watson has the potential to close the gap, but he still has ways to go. I was a Watson skeptic coming into this season (thought his rookie season was a fluke), but he showed me he has the tools to be a great QB. Hopefully we fix our Oline and keep this kid upright.

I agree on this. I wasn't shitting on Watson, just giving Mahomes props for how he played for a full season. It was an top tier elite level of Quarterbacking. Watson is not there yet, not right now and yes the gap is wide..for now. Texans should focus on that Oline, which could potentially help Watson take that next step
