Homophobia in the black community, or gay agenda? The effeminization debate

Aight du I see you took nothing from my words, I'ma just leave it that, you back with the agenda stuff again. I'm getting no where with you
took nothign from your words?

bruh i took your words and applied them directly to the argument at hand... you tryna call people homophobes and saying just cuz you fight for gay rights you can still be a homophobe...i'm like naw bruh, that's not the same,....and i'm pointing out why it's not the same... and bringing it back to the original argument....

basically you getting dragged here, and instead of conceding, you tryna make it seem like i ain't hearing you.....

i hear you, and i'm not demonstrating homophobic behavior....and a homophobe is not the same as a racist....and they still overdoing it with the gay in media.....and pointing it out still doesn't make me a homophobe......

that's what we're discussing here.....

let me speak for myself...as i am still a work in progress myself...for instance

i became extremely uncomfortable at some of the portrayals of the gay community in a show like Empire. I honestly had no idea Lee Daniels was gay tbh, but instead of me continuing to watch, I simply stopped. No one is forcing me to watch it. He can put content in his show like that, but that doesnt mean i have to watch

the same goes with kids shows. YOU are their biggest influence. if you feel Teen Titans is pushing homosexuality, find something else for them to watch or let them spend their time doing more constructive things

NO ONE IS FORCING anything on them

This is how I know you didn't read them with any sincerity, I specifically said that there's levels to shit, you may be on the lower end of it, but your thoughts can still be classified as homophobic, literally, if you applied the same points you're making to race I'm sure you'd think that the person saying that is racist to some degree.

This isn't even close to dragging lmao, you're the one bringing up agendas like the white boogeyman is out to make the black man into a sissyfied chumps not me

and why dont parents talk about sexuality being forced on children regardless of gender binaries.

I mean I was watching a kids show with my nephew and a boy and a girl were making out on the playground.

I mean ppl want to hang and die on the "homosexuality is being pushed on our kids" hill

but are comfortable with the hyper-sexuality in these shows as long as the characters are promoting heteronormativity.

I dont get it.

just cuz i ain't respond tot he part you wanted me to doesn't mean i didn't read it all...

and that's basically because i think almost everybody is racist to some degree cuz they all contribute to the system...

which is why again it's not the same as homophobia because there is no system designed to hold gay folk down....support of the gay community, voting in their best interests, and positive interactions are not just boasting points....

having gay thoughts.......yea you got an argument there but the only thing is that as long as your actions are speaking louder there is no harm being done to the gay community as a result

naw that shit wack too... you gotta watch everything with your kids....

i made my son stop watching one show cuz the kid lied too much

MissK.....respectively as possibile...

you can't treat sexuality and gender the same as other differences....it just ain't the same....

as a man....i find sex with another man repulsive.....

this has nothing to do with hate, intolerance, indifference, discrimination, preferences, religion, any of that shit....

just like its natural for some people to like it, it's natural for me to not like it....

i don't know what it is that makes women different where as though they can be intimate with other women , but as a man.....i can't do that shit with another man....the thought of man on man sex makes me sick to my stomach.....

that's just natural.....i can't truly apologize for who i am, but i can say i'm sorry that offends you....but that's just what it is. man on man sex repulses me....

okay.....now that we got that out the way.....it takes A WHOLE LOT OF UNDERSTANDING, GROWTH, MATURITY, TOLERANCE, and a all that shit to take something you consider repulsive, and be completely okay with it....some people may have a head start at it like yong josh, his brother being gay....i had a few friends who ended up being gay.....stll showed them love....the older you get the more tolerant you get....

at this point 2017.....bruh, i have no issues with gay folk at all.....calling me a homophobe is laughable....

and i ain't hating on the entire gay community.... but c'mon....yall gotta see the same shit i see....i can't point it out no better....

if it's easier to call someone a homophobe...whatever.... but i swear that 's not what's going on most of the time.....

it's like we're asked for a ridiculous amount of tolerance and understanding yet granted none of the same in return.....

wait what?

you should be BIG mad at at fact your child is watching cartoons of lil boys chasing after girls at the ripe age of 4

your childs ideas on gender, sex, and sexuality is being molded thru these shows and this is before they even know what a dick or pussy is.

you want to talk about agendas and conditioning.

what are these shows teaching lil boys and girls? shall we delve in the gender stereotypes being promoted in these cartoons?

wheres the outrage for that?

Now you're arguing semantics, I'm comparing general racism to general homophobia, not institutional racism. Also there's an argument for there being a system to keep the gay community down, it's been exposed but it's still there, religion is the biggest by far. It's commonly used to suppress the lgbtq community. And kids are the worst victims of it.

wait what?
basically this. to straight men...... Gay sex is disgusting.
and it takes a lot to get over that become acceptant of gay people.
no one is asking for a cookie, but you gotta realize that this is not some little small thing...and it's not really comparable to anything else...cuz to us...there are few if no pleasures greater to a straight man than a woman....so i mean this ain't an indication of a dude being a bigot or intolerant jerk when they speak the way bdp did....

dude is like....
yo i flat out don't like that shit...it weirds me out.... btu fuck it, imma love these people regardless....

and ii my opinion...that's beautiful,..... but it's like even he getting called a homophobe, and i'm like c'mon son....

what show is this? specifically....

cuz these things are important.....

i let my son watch a lotta shit.... but if it's over the top, it gets the ax....

i don't really care if he's watching boy shows, girl shows or whatever.... but i do have an issue with anything being overly sexual in nature.....

, I'm comparing general racism to general homophobia, not institutional racism. .
as goldie would say... you're moving the goalpost son.....

you compared racism to homophobia..i said unfair because racism is an institution,..... and noooow you're arguing general racism???

c'mon bruh....there is no general racism.....prejudice maybe....but you losing wind

................Except I'm not, find me a post where I mentioned institutional racism

There's definitely general racism, not every racist has the power to significantly effect a persons life

oh and if you're going to introduce religion to the argument, the church is all but dead these days....

people are routinely ridiculed and considered fools having faith in the church these days....

the gay community already defeated the church community......shit was a flawless victory...

preachers flat out lose their license for not marrying gay couples....shit's not a game

There's still religious people with voting power who are against gay rights, so that argument falls flat. The vice president himself is one of craziest homophobes in the u.s.

i'll give you that,

but i'll also point out he's generally recognized as a villain because of it.....not a champion of american ideals

No I meant I don't think I have posted in this thread, just reactions which may have been done on accident cuz I have told goldie the reaction buttons are too damn small lol

Anyway here is my small opinion

No I do not equate the gay plight equal to what blacks have gone through.

I am on the fence about whether or not someone is born gay or if it is choice, environmental etc (as I don't think it is a one size fits all) but what I do know is as stated you can hide the fact that you are gay, you can't hide your skin color

I do think men overreach at times. Ex-my ex who would swear up and down that he was not homophobic would not go into the department I worked in because my coworker was a gay (black) male. I would say over and over he knows you aren't gay, won't hit on you and further doesn't want you as he has been with his partner for years. To me it was like him saying ' I am not racist but' I mean you are or aren't.

You mentioned a gay club-all of them are not like that. I have been to one and with a mixed group of friends, I did not see the straight men being hit on but who knows

As far as my offspring, naturally they were raised in a hetero household with hetero sided views. I did not at any time bash gays in front of them though when they were young I did not get into the conversation as I felt they were not able to comprehend fully.

I don't know if there is an agenda to feminize black men- I think as far as movies as you mentioned once they realize they can make bread off dressing in drag then it is their choice to project that image. No one is holding a gun to these black men saying put on a dress or you won't work-they could easily decline the role. But hey we all do a little something strange for some change, amirite?! :)
