I think that it’s a circumstance of having a good collective of posters that have been around each other for a good period of time.

We’ve embarrassed ourselves enough to be able to be comfortable being our authentic selves or as close as possible.

So we usually do more than surface level conversations about things. We go deep and express viewpoints with confidence or, with defense when attacked.

I think that affects individuals that may lurk. Like…if we on the court balling out. Dunking, cross overs, no look passes and things of that nature.

Folks on the bleachers who just started balling maybe apprehensive about calling for next.

The only solution really is to give it time, and not lil man new people. Or get into extensive argumentative beefs our infront of the lurkers.

I agree with a mod breaking off a topic in the random thread to make new threads. Don’t put it on the people. I’m not getting paid to moderate the site so I have no incentive. Mods and Goldie have an incentive, which is why I respect Goldie actually starting threads and posting himself.
 
And one huge strategy in business is sustainability. What are you going to do to keep the business going well into the future. Usually that involves evolving your customer base. That said, the site definitely needs new blood, unless Goldie is good with the shit eventually fading out once the existing posters get too old to care about posting anymore.

I went over to the Coli after that influx and they did have some threads that were actually interesting. Went to LSA for the same reason, and while a lot of that I wouldn’t be interested in, it was different.

We need diversity of thought here. Most of us think a lot alike and our algorithms are probably very similar. It would be good to see what other people are interested in and why.

Back to my prior post, this is why I don’t make threads. Usually anything I would make a thread about already has a thread or will if I wait for a day or so.

A lot of people don't make threads cause they are scared of them becoming tumbleweed status

lol either its gonna get responses or its not. Aint that big of a deal. Only person that might clown somebody for some shit like that is @MrBeef and that shit aint to be taken seriously🤣

But yeah folks should make more threads on their own.

New blood/active posters would definitely help sustain this place.

Some of the stuff that was going on when I first got here was dope. The games, robberies, contests, giveaways, ABW court, debates etc. There was more active posters back then so even if someone couldnt participate there were a bunch of others that could and did. If you cant find anybody to participate now it pretty much dies on the vine
 
People being scared to make threads because they are scared they will fail is the biggest myth in the forum world btw

I think you are right in maybe axing some of the general topic threads if you want more individual threads as a whole. the thing with that though, is a lot of the info in the general topic threads aren't worth being made into individual threads. LOL. you run the risk of having a ton of dead threads and clutter doing that...

Some of these ordinary women/celebrities/Instagram “models” are taking their need for views/likes/money to another level

Yeah not everything is thread worthy but I think the chance of more diverse threads on the cool table front page is worth a shot
