FEATURED How Can ABW Improve As A Site?

Sounds like one of them good problems
Site Owner
We're heading towards the 9 year anniversary for ABW. I appreciate everybody who logs on everyday and contributes to the site.

Most of my time will be focused on building up my new platforms for a while (How Many Mics, A Black Marketplace, ABW Candy Shop), but I still want ABW to grow.

What can I do as an owner and what can posters do to improve the site?

I make threads periodically, but usually when it's something I come across that I figure might be thread-worthy. Lotta shit I see really ain't threadworthy or a thread already exists about whatever so I just post there.

I'd like to think the threads here are usually of a higher quality than those on Coli. I took a look at their "Locker Room" and that seems to be the case vs our Cool Table discussions.

I’m still going to maintain getting rid of the random thoughts thread

It’s really a place to post the most random stuff they find from social media and talk about it for 2-3 posts once every 2 hours

Nobody wants to just talk

You either gonna have a ton of other threads with one or a few posts or keep it the way it is for the loosie thoughts to go there

Mods need to do a better job of breaking off convos into threads🤷🏾‍♂️

I’ll give an example

You see how Elzo mentioned Curtis granderson in the random thoughts thread

He could’ve told the story as the OP and made a thread like “Have you found out anybody famous lives near you or you ever dealt with a famous person’s family member?”

that’s an easy thread right there

AP’s response should not be mods should make that into a thread over Elzo should’ve made it a thread

Because again it takes things out of the posters’ hands

It needs to be more proactive here vs reactive

A lot of posters are reactive consumers vs being proactive creators as well
