FEATURED Who Had The Worst Fall Off Since 2012/2013?

test
New York had an entire movement that got overshadowed by the BK/BX drill scene. I ironically was a VERY SMALL part of both movements (Pop Smoke was from my hood where we was doin some of the first drill music in NYC) so I'll add myself to that list 🤣
I thought that drill stuff came later? Beast Coast Movement was 2012/2013/2014 time

I was around for that too. I was making boom bap beats in Brooklyn when we didn't have a real sound. I never met anyone from Pro Era, but my mans went to school with Chuck Strangers. Around 2012, I started going heavy into drill music cuz my ppls wanted to get on radio, but still maintained my original sound. Ppl that ended up being in Pop Smoke's circle started poppin up in our studio (Smoke was a teenager around that time... I never personally met him but I think he was there at some point). I left in June 2014... literally a month later Bobby Shmurda drops Hot Nigga (also from my hood). The drill scene started around that time, but didn't fully blow up until 2018ish. Sidebar: I worked in the same apt complex Flatbush Zombies lived. Brooklyn is a small place.

Waiting until after he retired to ask about him is crazy lol

Matter fact bringing up papoose in itself is wild

I can't stand dude. Ever since I heard him on that Hi-Tek song. That nigga spit this:

"You just a leg shooter. You aim your gun low.
I shoot my tech high. I keep a Hi-tek like the producer."

I've hated that nigga ever since. I don't know what it is, but that line annoys the shit out of me every time I hear it.

I think a “fall off” is when your core fans don’t even fuck wit’ u like they used to…to me that doesn’t apply to Pro Era (Joey Bada$$) or FBZ’s because they still have their same “cult following”…just because FBZ’s never “crossed over” just because others think they may have been trying to or needed to doesn’t mean they fell off…at least to me

Like Rocky, Chance, Big Sean are nowhere near tha level they once were….some of tha more “underground” artists have stayed consistent in their lane

That’s like sayin’ Curren$y fell off cuz he’s not on any charts like that
