So I got a free 3060 TI this week, "slightly" used, lol. My boss got caught up in the crypto rush and now has a couple nice GPUs on his hands he doesn't need. I'mma see how long it lasts, lol.

Re: my memory issue

I think I'ma just buy like 32gb ram from one company

The freezing issues aren't happening as frequent now that I've moved them around a few times on the mb but they are still happening

It's gonna be a while before I can buy new parts for a newer build

Basically one PC I have is for controller based games. Think cyberpunk and red dead. The other is for mouse point/click type games. I'll probably always have two cause there are games I prefer to play on a TV(red dead, cod, etc) and games that I don't mind sitting at a monitor to play

Any monitor recommendations for a 3080ti?

The next project will be to replace the two 120mm case fans with some 140mm ones, and also I need to make some room in the undercarriage for two HDDs. Planning on buying some easystores from Best Buy and shucking em.

I figured it out

Windows updates too got damn much

I actually have 16 gb ram but only 8 is being used. Trying to resolve this now but I have to wait for the stupid updates to finish

Windows be on some shit with that. The more RAM you have, the more it holds on to. I have 160GB of RAM in my workstation, I can start windows, walk away and come back an hour later and somehow, some kind of way , Windows will be using something ridiculous like 16-30GB of RAM for no fuckin reason.

This is insane

You ever thought about Linux as an OS for gaming?

Not enough games unless you're going the Steam route, then I'd have to double-check. I do have Steam installed on my Linux box but its not hooked up and hasn't been running for a good while so I can't even remember what was available for it.
