They haven't been fucking with each other since she left Baylor. Mulkey is your classic southern Christian Republican and Griner is a gay Black woman who said she didn't feel comfortable coming out while at the school cuz of the environment. People associated that with Mulkey and it's been this public distance for years.

Edit..she's also the same person who defended Art Briles when Baylor was catching heat for all those sexual assault allegations with their football team. So she's probably not the best person to look to for a good response on this.

And tried to protect her again by trying to get the reporter to bury the story.


Griner might not have liked what she was telling her, but her coach was actually trying to help her.


That's what any decent coach would do.

She’s a women’s basketball player, it would have been a surprise to no one. This didn’t happen in 1975. It was because she went to a religious school and it would be a bad look for them.

Too many people are in denial about the reality of her situation.


I heard she's got an appeal set for sometime this month, but she and/or her people are acting like the process is the same as it would be over here.


The fix is in for her over there.


The only person who can do anything about her situation is Putin.........and the only chance she has of getting freed earlier is by writing an open letter to Putin and maybe trying to make a deal in which she can be free as long as she plays basketball over there for the next 9 years to satisfy her sentence.


Granted, that's not exactly freedom, but it's better than being in a cell and/or doing hard labor.


Other than that, as long as the situation with Russia and Ukraine is going on...........she's not going anywhere.

If she was actually wrongfully incarcerated then it'd be a bigger thing. She brought something illegal into a country

They could be making this into an awareness thing that shows how other nations have different laws than us and you need to make sure you're good before you go somewhere
