Chicago, LA, Maryland, Seattle, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, and Indiana have ALL put out better talent then them the past 20 years that’s why it got quiet in that doc once you got to the early 2000’s lmao. There’s no standout high school or college team in the city, mawfuckas holding onto past history

You named 3 cities + mad whole states😂

But I think the Mecca talk got it’s wires crossed a long time ago. Off of active/recent talent they been lost that. They still be trying to hold on too but it is what it is.

if it’s off of just hallowed ground it’s still them and that’s not something that just switches.

I know the joke is how opposing players light up the Knicks in the garden but that leads credence to the point. If someone drops 50 on the bulls it’s not he dropped 50 in the United center! It’s not a person did that in Chicago thing it’s just a career night. Likewise if someone goes crazy on the clippers or lakers in Staples/Crypto. It’s just he had a night and it’s over. It’s a big deal when it’s the garden, players ears perk up too. It just is what it is.

Only other court with similar vibes in the league is Boston Garden/TD Garden although it’s not quite the same as the OG Boston Garden but Boston doesn’t have the street ball culture rep that nyc does.
The Most notable street court there is is Rucker.

Talent is definitely a Chicago/LA/DMV battle.

Lol I understand the rucker park shit but if mawfuckas mention New York with multiple cities in it why can’t I? Let’s not talk about the knicks getting lit up by opposing players consistently being their highlights (they’re a large overrated market) who’s leading the next generation of “the Mecca “? FUCK New York basketball dawg lls

And If we keeping it strictly the city, it gotta be Chicago.

most of the LA notable guys are from LA county not the city. Likewise DMV being a whole area
Well the dmv isn’t an entire area, it’s Washington DC, Prince George county and Montgomery county which is a smaller radius then New York and still had 35+ players drafted 2000 and after

I know what the DMV is bro lol. It’s not a city, it’s made up of surrounding areas to DC. NYC is one city. Boroughs are boroughs not cities. Radius don’t really matter when talking individual city to city.

City to City Chicago got it.

Chicago does New York has been TRASH since 2000 their arrogance won’t let em admit that lls

2K got Candace Parker dunk rating higher than Westbrook by a whole 6 points lol

I’m pretty sure it’s a different rating (dunk rate) when you play in the WNBA on the game though.

Because no way 2k got CP dunking on everybody lol

I can't believe the double down on the Jamison/Melo comparison.

As someone who watched all of Antawn's career when he was 'the man' he was NEVER that. He was playing 2nd fiddle to Jason Richardson on treadmill teams.
Hell of a complimentary player but would stay out of the way when the game was on the line, I used to go to wizards games in person so it’s deeper then stats with him lls
