That's messed up. Does your mother get regular checkups and do you? Genetics plays a much greater role in preventative medicine than a lot of people know. It's tough in some places but I learned recently that there are some good primary care physicians out there that will get you on the right track and work with you. When I was living in BK I avoided doctors like the plague because every hospital and doctor's office might as well have been the school nurse and to make matters worse they all treat you like a crackhead like you're just trying to scam them for something.
