Sources near Rhodes state that as of this morning, Cody Rhodes is slated to undergo surgery to repair the torn pectoral muscle this Thursday. Notable pectoral injuries in pro wrestling included Triple H (five months out), Elias (five months), Hiromu Takahashi (six months), and John Cena’s miraculous recovery in less than four months.

A source at Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed to PWInsider.com today that late last week, there was an edict issued to remove MJF from all promotional spots and commercials for AEW programming going forward.

MJF is currently being edited out of any TBS and TNT spots he appears in with different AEW footage replacing him. We are told that the existing spots with MJF have been officially pulled but it's possible some may still pop up as they transition to the newer spots.

AEW has not referenced MJF since his promo last week on Dynamite, removed his merchandise and stopped following him on social media.

In a new report from Business Insider, it is claimed that McMahon’s leave of absence was orchestrated, partially, by her father, WWE owner, and chairman Vince McMahon, as part of a behind-the-scenes shakeup at WWE. The report points to an interview Vince gave on The Pat McAfee Show back in March as the first sign that Stephanie McMahon’s position in WWE was on thin ice.

“I’ve probably expected more from my family members than of other employees,” Vince told McAfee. “You have to do the right thing for the business. If this person isn’t working out, they shouldn’t be part of the company.”

This statement was echoed by a source within WWE who spoke to Business Insider, while also confirming a recent report that those in WWE were questioning Stephanie’s performance at an executive level.

“Family or not family, we’ve got to get the right people in place,” the source said.

As for the reasons Vince McMahon and WWE felt the need to move on from Stephanie, the report states that the company felt they were underperforming in ad revenue. WWE expected to make at least over $100 million in ad sales/brand partnerships annually, hoping to match what the UFC brings in in that department.

“We weren’t seeing that growth,” the source stated. “When someone is moved out of a company, it’s usually the result of something not working. We took stronger control of that a few months ago.”

While no statement in the article confirms that Stephanie McMahon will not return to WWE at some point in the future, as she claimed she would in her statement, it implies that she may very well be done with the promotion for the foreseeable future. Since her departure, WWE has begun hiring new executives, including Jeff Jarrett as Senior Vice President of Live Events and Catherine Newman as EVP and Head of Marketing.

Do yall think the WWE is up there wit the UFC?

i mean…trying to go head to head with UFC forced wwe to move MITB from allegiant stadium to MGM arena, a 40,000-50,000 seating capacity decrease

I don't think the UFC had anything to do wit that. Vince thought he could carry that WM venue magic over to MITB at Allegiant. Yeah...he got humbled. Lol!

No word yet on when CM Punk will have surgery on his foot. The word making the rounds is that surgery was the only option as due to the nature of the injury, it likely wouldn't heal correctly without it.

In regard to rumors making the rounds that Bryan Danielson suffered a concussion at Double or Nothing, there's no confirmation that is the case officially. We are told that Danielson did get banged up during the Anarchy in the Arena match and won't be back in the ring until he's been cleared.

Adam Cole, who was pulled from last week's Dynamite is also "banged up", as one source noted. We were told it's not any specific major issue but a few minor ones at the same time, so the decision was made to give him time to rest and heal up so as not to compound any potential issues down the line.

The belief is Cole and Danielson each will be back by The Forbidden Door PPV at the end of the month, if not sooner. We have not heard any timetable on Punk and there likely wouldn't be until after the surgery.
