Welcome To aBlackWeb

Last we saw paperboi was finna fire earn until he pulled that stunt at the airport. Fast forward and earn is on top of his shit but at some cost to his familial relationship with his cousin who he now treats more like a client than a friend.

Al who finally decided to go all in as paperboi now suffers artistically as he can no longer write from his previous perspective. Secretly the weight of carrying everyone is wearing on him as he wonders if the people around him on really for him or just along for the ride.

Van went from being the stable 1 who was propping up earns broke ass to being unemployed and completely depended on earn and her parents. After fashioning herself as the responsible one she has a dissociative breakdown and takes on a new identity based on a movie she watches in her hotel.

Darius is out of place in Europe, the crew less willing to indulge in his antics and away from his various side hustles in Atlanta has become a financial burden. His one piece of normalcy found was the restaurant and that shit got gentrified leaving him as heart broken as we have ever seen him.

They all are coming back to Atlanta vastly different than they left it and there's some pretty major set pieces that have been put in play as to how they will all relate to each other once home.

Cosign everything except Darius... that nigga was at home in europe and was the same weirdo as he was in Atlanta lol

This nigga Beta:

"I cant remember shit about either of the previous seasons but they was missing all the shit I loved but cant remember in THIS season.."

fuck outa here
lol this isn’t a “I loved the show before but this season is wack now” thing

show was good but overhyped and now it’s coasting to the point people will hype up mid

I just want the show to be entertaining for me and nothing from this season was all that entertaining

the structure of the season didn’t help, the non canon Eps didn’t help, the Eps with the main cast weren’t the best

I’m sorry inori I just cant let it slide while everybody praises this

How you guys don’t see this is a step down is crazy to me

but because they talked about white people and packaged it in Jordan peele gift wrap you niggas ate it up

I see it as a step to the side.. not really a step down. The quality in acting, storytelling and cinematography didnt drop one bit imo.. You just didnt like the stories being told.

Yall gon learn one day to disregard other peoples hype. Be setting yaselves up for disappointment

Storytelling/cinematography was great and moments during the other Eps felt tense at times (they really should make a separate show) and telling me I didn’t like the stories being told is a very reasonable and acceptable reason for somebody to not like the season.

As far the hype thing

ehh it’s message board forum stuff

4 years for the main cast to be there half the time and spent ample time looking for a phone and eating jollof rice isn’t a step to the side imo

Niiiiiiiice break down.

They don't care.... But I felt that shit bruh

Nah, they wouldn't go on the ghost mission when al lost his phone, white folks kept hijacking his shit (socks being offended on his behalf at the party, white lady thriving the Nigerian restaurant--he had brought his own food for them to cook smh), he was mooching off al when was straining their relationship.

In Atlanta he can pull his own weight a lot more.

These seem to be a couple scenes or an episode stretched out to sound like more than they were. Kinda like BS'ing a book report in school.

Like the big girl that was with them in the finale. She finally realized the world was bigger than her hometown, and got pulled into the world of sex work.

Candice's eyes were opened to the fragility of mental health, and she was reminded of what it meant to be a true friend.

And the misdirection with the trailers thinking they were really gonna go with the Darius shit......

Also that scene where Al had to pay for everything.... You could see him side eyeing Darius
