Real or no? Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for joking about Jada at the Oscars

That's not at all what's happening. We've gone through several years of the Smiths making a concerted effort to put their business out there, and of them giving detailed accounts of what's happened. We've seen Will broken down with our own eyes. Even somebody like me who doesn't give a shit about any of this has seen it, because it all blew up enough that a nigga couldn't even go to happy hour without seeing them and their business plastered over every screen in the bar.

I'm not saying that people aren't letting their imaginations go wild or pushing their own beliefs for how people should behave onto the Smiths. I'm saying that the Smiths have put a lot of information out there on purpose, and their defenders need to stop acting like everyone who comments on that info is just imagining things.

But the entire reason we are all here now and the whole RTT show was created and Will deciding to shed that fake image is because of people spending a good 2 decades now speculating and creating wild ass theories about that family. From people calling them scientologists to the years of open relationship rumors to people calling Jaden Smith all sorts of gay to saying they were letting Willow Smith be abused and groomed...all this shit now is a culmination of all of that. So you don't get to the point where Will Smith is ready to smack a nigga in front the whole world without all.of that shit beforehand. This isn't something that just built from a year or 2 of jokes about a situation him and his wife said they long ago settled. This is years and years of frustration

I think this is the disconnect.

Some are taking it like he did what he did to defend his wife who was made uncomfortable about a joke that hit a sore spot. If that's how you see it, then it's understandable that you'd think Will was in the right.

However, some are taking it like he did what he did because he has insecurities with respect to how his wife feels about him, and he was trying to show out for her. People believe that is what happened likely think what Will did was weak, and that should be just as understandable.

At the end of the day, none of us know what the truth is. It's all just speculation, and no speculation is any better than any other.

We don't know but let's say its true and he went up there bc Jada gave him a look. Why is him following his wife lead in this instance bad thing? She's the offended party right?

Bruh, all that speculating didn't come out of nowhere. They didn't have RTT, but they were still out there. It just wasn't as blatant. I'll fall back though cause I really don't follow all this shit, and you might have better perspective than me. All I know is that as someone who doesn't care what happens with their family, I feel like there have been times when it was almost impossible to not hear something about them. When you have that concerted an effort to put your business out on the street, you can't ever really get mad that people form opinions about your business.

If I got some part of the timeline wrong, feel free to disregard everything I've said.

Yeah you've gotten alot of the timeline wrong. You skipped the past 15-20 or so years and just jumped to today lol. It don't even take alot of following it's just when someone been in the public eye that long you eventually hear the shit people say about them and for years upon years before they were actually more open about their lives the only thing was rumors about shit people thought they were doing and wild ass comments about their kids when they were still small children.
