FOH stafford has one of the worst records against teams .500 and above and I don't want to hear about the lions screwed him over he was never that great he's a gunslinger

24 TDs 10 INTs

Ironically Carr had 28 TDs and 6 INTs lol

Ill give you that 2011 year though

Edit

Im talking about Matt Stafford. Hes never been top 7 QB in the league besides this year
Bruh you got the wrong number he threw for 38 TD's and 7 INTS lol

And Yes Matt Ryan is also a QB thats better than Stafford for his whole career.

Which goes into the point im making that Stafford was never some elite QB besides maybe 1 year in Detroit

2015-2018 (Jim Caldwell Years)

We went 70 straight games without having a RB rush for 100 yards. (That's 4 years) and NFL record

By 2015 Megatron is breaking down somewhat physically from carrying the WR corp and the losing. We finally get a legit number 2 option in Golden Tate via Free Agency. Megatron Retires at 30. I would have continued playing if with a winning organization despite the injuries.

2017 the organization is tired of Eric Ebron and release him. Yup remember we could have drafted Aaron Donald. Matter of fact, nobody else from that draft was on an NFL roster by 2018. Once again a wasted draft class by the Detroit Lions. 3 out of the players drafted were waived by the Lions after the first preseason in 2014 lol.

2015 draft was also a bust. Only producing Quandre Diggs a 3rd round pick. Our first round pick OG Laken Tomlison was a bust but not is very good for the 49ers which speaks to our inability to develop.

2016 Bobb Quin takes over as GM. The 3rd GM in Staffords tenure. First draft was pretty good and he hit on a dog as gaurd in the 3rd round Grahm Glagsaw. To tell you how inept and a jerk quinn is. Glagsow can play both C and G and when it was time to negotiate years down the line he conspires with Patricia to take more snaps at Center and Right Guard so they can low ball him as LG make more money. He leaves in FA.

2017: Megatron is gone and Stafford still has a great year but there is no depth on the roster outside Stafford, Darius Slay, Diggs who are our stars and at WR we have Golden Tate who Stafford makes his numbers better than what it would be anywhere else honestly. He's not a number 1 receiver at all

Team was good but not great and just needed to hit on draft picks and develop and I never thought Caldwell was the right coach. He is too conservative but it is a great man. I agree to move off of him but they need to do a real coaching search.

But, we got Quinn from the Belichick tree and we all know that Patricia was gonna be the choice smh

Even as good he was this year with having the best player in the league on defense and a tip 3 CB with weapons out the ass he damn near threw 20 INTs

He is what he is. A good player. He was never elite.

2018-2021(Fucking Patricia Years)

These are the years we try to forget about. We had a pretty god roster and with the right coach and GM to hit on draft picks and develop we could have done something.

So in 2017 the year before, we need LB and Quinn take Jarrad Davis who can't defend the pass for shit and takes poor angles to the RB. Compounds that fuck up by taking Teez Tabor in the 2nd round a DB who ran a 4.8 40 at the combine. Takes him cuz the patriots like DBs with 6'1 measurables.

Lions fans called him Geez Teez. He's cut by the 3rd year.

Only player from that draft was Kenny Golladay at WR in the 3rd round and Stafford made him honestly. He can't even make a difference with the Giants right now.

Patricia comes in 2018 and players hate him right away. He curses at the players, calls them out there names and is trying to be Belichick without the resume and the players aren't buying it at all.

The team plays uninspired most of the year finishing 6-10.

2018 draft pretty well. We reach for Kerryon Johnson in the 2nd round and he is great but got hurt in college and he's hurt every year in the NFL.

The relationship btw the players and Patricia sours even more. Feeling heat from fans and ownershi[ Patricia and Quinn gets rid of players who don't fit the "Patriot" way.

Darius Slay doesn't come back and leaves for Philly. We trade Quandre Diggs to Seattle who has been better at safety than that LB Jamal Adams.

A'Shawn Robinson beefs with Patricia and he leaves and goes to the Rams and he was great at stuffing the run this year for them.

We go 3-12-1

2019 draft we have so many fucking needs now cuz of Quinn and Patricia but draft a TE Hockinson with the 8 pick. (He has been very good) but that's too high for a TE

We compound on the bad Jarrad DAvis selection by drafting Jalhani Tavai in the 2nd rd who was seen as a day 3 selection lol. We already have a RB who can't defend the pass and we draft a LB who runs a 4.9 but fits the ILB thumper that fits the "Patriot Way"

We draft another safety in the 3rd round WIll Harris and we wouldn't have needed a safety it the team didn't run off Diggs and Harris has been a bust.

Only guy worth a damn outside of Hockenson has been our 5th rd pick a DB out of Penn State who has been better than out 1st round draft pick the next year.

2020: Quinn and Patricia are on very thin ice and are in scramble mode. The bring in every ex Patriot player to build the culture lol.

Jeffrey Okudah was terrible his first year and tore his achilles first game of this season. Deandre Swift our 2nd round pick is good.

Mid way through the season the writing is on the wall. Fans, players, execs, know that Patricia and Quinn need to be gone as they have completely quit on him.

Patricia was so awful that former players mocked him so bad on social media. Stafford was a warrior for 12 years dealing with this inept franchise but he now ask for a trade hoping for a chance.

Lions management complies and because he so respected they trade him to the Rams the team he wanted to go to cuz he earned it honestly to finally have a great team and organization.

So there you go, 13 years of being stuck with an inept Front Office and team. There's other blunders the Lions made too. It's really frustrating that we've had 3 all time great talents in Barry, Megatron and Stafford who retired early or asked to be traded elsewhere.

Point is nobody can win with the Fords at the helms.

I remember a game back in Andre Luck first year when everyone and even you back in the Allhiphop days were on Lucks nuts.

We played the Colts and the Lions had there typical false starts holding etc. Anyways Stafford leads the Lions down the field and scores a TD to give us the lead with 45 seconds left.

Well the Lions lost that game in typical Lions fashion cuz they let Luck drive down the field. He ain't even make any great throws don the field. Lions left the middle of the field open and he ran for 30 yards to start everything. Then on the last play Suh and Fairley over commit up the middle with no contain, we have no LB in the middle of the field and we are playing man coverage and Luck literally dances his way into the endzone at the buzzer to win the game.

I don't even think the Colts had any timeouts left. The Lions have lost so many games like that

Here's the game right here. So frustrating man. At 4:15 the Lions lead the league in most drops. Cuz we had nobody at WR other than Megatron

The main point is that where you get drafter does determine your outcome and career trajectory. Stafford had the same skillet as Mahommes. Amazing arm talent, raw and can be sloppy with his footwork.

We can really credit Caldwell for making Stafford a better QB with his mechanics. Mahommes gets drafted in a great position in KC and has instant success. Now everyone is ready to right Mahommes into the HOF after his 5th year. When I see a QB right now who is very much like Stafford in his early years with the better coach, play caller and organization.

You place Mahommes in Detroit with that culture and he's not looked at the same.

Lol your memory is fucked up because the game did not go that way....the Lions had the lead for the last 5 mins in the 4th quarter 33 to 21 Lions up....Luck made great throws that's why they scored so fast in the 4th quarter watch the highlight again

No. He needs to have some sustained success as far as winning games AND putting up numbers. At no point would I ever considered him a top ten QB before this season aside for maybe one year when he was as the end of the list. He’s top ten to me now tho. I’m happy for him winning the Super Bowl but one year where he’s not on a shitty/average team ain’t enough for me. He’s on the right track tho we’ll see.
