@Blactivity is special. Even tho shes decided that takin a prospective husbands name is the choice she wld proudly make, she can still understand why sum1 wld make a diff choice.

Ok I had to reply to this one tho because....
The whole creating empires and being presidents is kinda b.s. because of the mere fact we had no equal rights as women and tbh even to this day we get paid less than men but the thing is idk if it's really cos they think we are incapable or because they think we can do it better?
Im no biggit and for me all should be equal ALL...

People have turned this whole thing into it being about women's equality, when that has nothing to do with why it was set up like this.


For example.


You get married to a guy and decide to keep your last name. Yall have a son who takes his wife's last name, that family name is now gone. 3 generations down the line damn near all family names will be irrelevant. Family names used to mean something "we're the smiths, take pride in that" . It was set up like this to keep some type of structure and order so that family names and lineage can live on through history, it has nothing to do with shitting on women or telling them that their name means nothing and your husband owns you , etc. That's what people have turned it into.

And whyyyy don't men care their daughters lose their name when they get married? Her kids don't matter to you like your son's kids do? Ya'll so inherently sexist you're only gonna cry about your son losing your name? Is he more your kid than your daughter? It's just a name. This whole thing is stupid.

Just the way it is, the same way I expect my wife to take my name I expect my daughter to take her husbands name. The husband is the head of the household so his name should be the one that should be used

You're taking it personal.

The system was created to keep order to make sure family's names were able live on through history. They chose for the boys to carry the name, for reasons I've explained in the last couple pages.

It can't be both the boys and the girls who keep the last name because when it's time to have kids who's name does the kids get?

Yall get too caught up in your feelings to approach these discussions logically sometimes.
