That's how I was taught. In a big ass public pool with at least 100 ppl in it at the time. It's not complicated shit.

Rivers exist as well. The amount of people stuck in deserts or any kind of place where water is unable to swim in and completely inaccessible is small.
This... Being submerged and having a pressure pull your entire body are two feelings I refuse to get comfortable with.
I have on separate occasions displayed the ability to swim under trauma ... But fuck that shit for sport or leisure
