I was hoping they would be able to get rid of at least one of DeRozan and Aldridge and Patty Mills....Rudy Gay can help some good teams and will be a buyout candidate if he isnt traded

But I always think San Antonio feels like they owe it to Pop to competitive until the end so we still might be a year away from the full youth movement

I kinda like the roster going into this season and I honestly think they are going to be better than a bunch of folks think.

I also kinda understand thier rationality when it comes to Aldridge and DeRozan because it was alot of whispers that the front office was talking to alot of teams about making trades, which is rare for them. I think they would've traded some of their vets if they felt the deals were good for them but obviously they didn't feel that way so they stayed the course. Barring injuries (major game decline) to our vets I think they will be able to make deals during the season.

If the team plays better than expected they will stay the course with the roster and figure stuff out in the off season. It's kinda risky but not as much as many might feel because DeRozan and Aldridge are free agents next season while Gay and Mills expire the year after. If they start off slow they tank and get a top 5 pick in a supposedly really good draft next season.

You, just like myself honestly doesn't know how good most player's will be after their rookie/ 2nd year in the NBA.

Nobody thought Kawhi , Giannis, or even your guy Butler was going to be this good after their 2nd and sometimes 3rd season in the NBA. Not all players are like Lebron of MJ some players take a little more time to figure stuff out.

But......... you most likely have the right outlook on the young guys on our roster. I do think Keldon Johnson and Lonnie Walker could turn out to be really good if things work out right and I'm not giving up hope on Samanic

That's better than most media members and fans think.

I think barring injuries around 7-10 but they shouldn't honestly be gunning for the playoffs in my opinion unless one of the younger guys really takes off and meshes with DeRozan well.

We need to rebuild

I see them just outside at 11th-12th. But we'll see. Warriors gonna be there. Wolves got better, pound for pound the kings are better. Suns obviously on the way up.

I think people who feel that way are seriously underestimating coaching and continuity though.

But Clarke and Valanciunas, Ja, brooks, are still there so who knows

They are an enigma

I can’t tell if that team will be a 13th seed or 8th
