I'm not into defending police officers..but if I'm at that club celebrating a bday w my girl n family or whatever the case n two groups of people start shooting up the club. Yea, I would expect that the police do their job and handle that.

Bro I don't even listen to gangsta rap like that, y'all know my music taste all over the place so I'm not overly emotional over this as his fans and youngins are, but the fact that y'all are not aware of his reach, don't care for his sound, or don't agree with his life choices does not exclude the fact that his death didn't just impact hip hop.

I know alot of people on ABW are older, not in the know with the latest trends, or don't fuck with lil rap niggas music (for the most part I don't either) but y'all really really really make poor assessments of who is big and who is not due to the circles y'all are in.

The fact that many artists, athletes, producers, etc are all mourning Von right now, combined with his YouTube streams and subscribers it's honestly laughable to say this shit is not major. He was one of the biggest street rappers out right now and was on the cusp of crossing over major just like NBA youngboy is atm.

What you said is all true, but on the flip, it doesn't take much to garner large numbers these days. I can't speak for the other dude, but when I think about a loss, I think of something that can't be replaced. There will be an artist just like King Von this time next year.

I agree but at the same time when you as a rapper are this expendable (as in someone else can come right in and take your spot) then in the grand scheme this isn’t a huge blow to hip hop

Let me ask to prove a point...how many rappers can you name in the same peer group as him out right now?
