I’m trying to find the equivalent of this type of thread for black women.
 
There are shitty black men out there, but characterizing all black men that way is stupid and it's the kinda thing racists do to blacks in general.

Besides for every video you can find of a black man beating a black woman, you can find 3 of black women beating on each other. On top of that, we've already posted the numbers. The domestic violence rates are higher for lesbian couples than straight couples particular for black women. So by the rationale in the OP black women are their own worst enemies. So every woman pushing this false divisive narrative should go headbutt a mirror and STFU.

I‘ve seen and experienced how SOME Black men are like this. Some does not equate to all.

This reminds me of how when Black people from the LGBTQI+ community speak out about how they aren’t really protected and supported in the Black community, people actually got angry AND tried to steer away from the fact that they aren’t actually lying and if you aren’t in the LGTBQI+ community, you can make the choice to ignore it.

The few women on this site don’t make up for all Black women.

I will still love and protect Black men.

I’d speak up if there was a system in place protecting black men when they harm black women. The black man that killed the sister in Florida was caught and charged and will serve time. Meanwhile Breonna Taylor’s killers are being protected.

I hear you BUT guess what? That’s starting to become played out. We still have to hold people accountable PERIOD while still fighting for justice for our Black men and women being murdered.

This is about protecting little Black girls too because they will become Black women.

So what we aren’t going to do is ignore what Black women experience because as a Black man you are offended.

You don’t see Black women going “I’ll go marching for Black men when they start protecting us”. Nah, all you see out there are a BUNCH of Black women protesting and marching.

Nothing more accountable than jail time. If I harm a black woman right now I’ll be in jail by tonight. What more do you want? Black women are protesting systemic white supremacy that affects them as much as black men. This idea that black women are marching as a favor to black men is interesting though.

And this is my first issue.
There is no ya’ll because I’m not all Black women. I’m only ONE Black woman.
Second of all, I can point out something and it’s ABSOLUTELY valid. You are offended but you aren’t a Black woman.

It isn’t a favor either, we are marching and protesting because we are Black women who love and support our Black men. We have Black children who will someday become Black men and women.
I absolutely LOVE Black men but I’m a Black woman first. Ya’ll don’t get to tell us what we are and aren’t experiencing.

The protection of us go beyond being killed by Black men.

Stop making this about you because it isn’t.

That’s like us trying to ignore what our Black men have to deal with or get offended just to get our point across. We simply can’t do that.
 
I’m also not going to debate about this. Sorry not sorry but this is energy that I prefer to preserve.

I’m going to tell you like I tell white folks who question us. Go do the work and learn more about why some Black women may feel this way. I can understand it because I’m choosing to do the work. I work with Black women daily to understand why some may feel this way.

I’m not in the business of invalidating someone’s feelings and experiences.
