Just finished... yeah bruh got outshined and out-rapped on his debut album.
This aint some shit I would bump on a consistent basis... But im not gonna say it's a bad album off the first listen.
Standout tracks offa first listen for me:

I wanna say Shiny Suit Theory but this shit shouldn't count lol
Fruits of the Spirit(Whoever said the album needed more of this was 100% right)

And so far I wouldnt say Jay Z killing Elec on this. Jay has harder hitting witty bars as is his style and what makes him the GOAT, but Jay Elec has bars where once you decipher what hes actually saying you get amazed.
Im still on first listen and listening close as fuck and im sure alot of what jay electronica said went above my head but what ive caught so far is dope as fuck.
It being this close is a win for Jay Z though. This is Jay Elecs debut album and dude should have more time on it. Smh
95% of the other shit was "the honorable elijah muhammad said..." and "Puff told me i should make an album" "jay said i should make an album, he asked if i was scared of heights" " my ex said i should make an album"
I’m sure I’ll be stuck in traffic later today after work so I’ll listen to it then. If Jay really is all over this album outshining Jay E.. then damn. He did himself a major disservice & history will not look back at this album fondly as far as he’s concerned.
the only reason we not on right now is because his talent spoiled him into thinking he don't have to work hard....he felt just cuz he was nice shit would happen for him regardless of the dumb shit he did
like our friendship actually suffered cuz i couldn't get that nigga to do basic shit to help push his own rap career froward.....
like on stage.....in the studio.....the nigga was a monster....
in anything else lazy as fuck....
would't sell tickets for his own show...wouldn't even tell people about them....actually getting him to the studio took divine intervention.....getting him to his own shows....i had to essentially baby sit him the entire day and drive him to the shit, or he would be caught up in other shit.... nigga never got any merch out...like ever....cd's printed....never.....i would get quotes on prices, agree to put up half....and the nigga would never come up with the other half....
the shit that ended it though.....we had a big ass show....so i went the full amount on some fucking flyers cuz i really wanted him to do this show.....i even got some cd's printed up it was only like 25.... but it took a lot for the covers.... he was supposed to pick up some shirts he swore he got done....
was on the phone with this nigga all day....told him what time to meet me at the spot,,,,,get there.....nigga stop answering his phone...
this nigga go on stage at like 9:15.. it's past 8:30 nobody heard from him since like before 8 when he said he was on his way...
blew his phone up, blew everybody i could think of phone up.....nigga walking out the parking lot like 930......talking bout he wsa right here in the parking lot....fucking some chick....and missed his whole set.....talking bout he been here like a hour, he ain't answer the phone cuz he was right there...
i just went home.....i heard they still let him perform later in the show, but i was done..... nigga drive jsut wasn't there, and i took the shit too seriously for him to be fucking around like that....shit crazy, cuz i still think he coulda got on.....when meek first blew up my phone used to ring almost daily of niggaz saying meek had that energy charlie used to have on the mic and stage...nigga used to go off
