I appreciate the creative approach of the trailer, looking forward to the undertone message, but I honestly want more of a physical form of horror vs the spiritual "jump scare" style that has been very large the past 20 years.

Maybe the trailer is not showing that, but I thought IT did a decent job blending the pyhchological and physical thrill of things. From the trailer, it seems like a possession realistic approach. I wanted to see see Candyman floating/flying, and some crazy supernatural shit. I just hope Peele doesn't make a fictional character too realistic like a obsess fan carrying on his duties

I think supernatural horror with important black issues is rarely shown in film, which is why to me to this day Tales from the hood is my all time favorite horror because it speaks about alot of real deep black issues while incorporating supernatural horror elements. I thought this new film could possibly carry that mantle in today's climate which is heavily needed

But bruh it's one fucking trailer so I hope I'm fucking wrong lol

It's one trailer that did what it's supposed to do and that's get everyone talking and excited about the film
