In one way it's about a very real situation,but it's also like a metaphor for black love and coming together,and the betrayal among black ppl within an unfair system
In any movie like this the ppl usually die,so that was no surprise.
Also this was a film made by black ppl with no studio involvement before hand then a bidding war broke out over it.
So it's not like some white exec was trying to exploit BLM in it's creation.
